Proof is for liquor and mathematics. I am a Christian, but I do, at least, put that much faith in the sciences. I will show you some evidence, and you can evaluate it for yourself.

As to gay suicide rate:

LGBT-Teen Suicide Rate Rises - DiversityInc.com
GLSEN: Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network: GLSEN: Gay,Lesbian,Straight Education Network

As to gay drug use:

Here we go with the proof thing again. I have seen first-hand, the miracles that God can do, and the reformed lives. Do you have any evidence to show that there is a better plan that "works for homosexuals", aside from a story about your brother? And, if this story is true, aren't you concerned that your brother is going to contract HIV? Aren't your parents concerned that he will give them no grandchildren to love? Aren't you even the slightest bit worried that he is going to hell for his behaviour?
Thanks for the stats. Okay so reading the articles above, one thing I read that was in common with the suicide was "lack of acceptance" whether from friends or family. Again the one common thing with ALL suicide victims is lack of hope for a good life. That could be from loss of a child to terminal illness. I will agree that gay teens do have a high suicide rate, but it's not from mental illness.
Anyone who isn't accepted and looked upon as burden to society will have feelings of hopelessness. Acceptance and support, regardless of situation, ALWAYS makes it easier for people who are in a state of hopelessness.
As for my brother I'm no more worried about him contracting HIV than I am about any of my family members. If you are educated properly, you take the steps necessary to reduce the chance of contraction. My parents have grandchildren to love, even though right now it's not from him. And no I don't worry about hell, since I don't believe in god or any religion.

It's funny that you should mention that, because a friend of mine suggested that to me, and I went along with it. I went to the home of a gay man who had a boyfriend, and they were supposedly happily committed...but...one of those men did nothing but look at pictures of penises on his computer the whole time. That is just not, to me, a normal relationship, and I don't see how it could be a happy one.
Heterosexual married men look at porn online.

And how is it that two men together, or two women together, produce children?
The same way a heterosexual couple do that can't have children. This usually involves a surrogate or IVF.

No one condemns or bullies anyone. When people come to me because they want to change, I do my best to help them. What is wrong with that?
Wait are you saying that if someone who is homosexual in your town doesn't abide by christian ways, that they won't be condemned or bullied? Yeah....

What does this have to do with former homosexuals? Jesus is responding to this question from the Pharisees:

7They say Unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?

...which has nothing to do with homosexuality.

It started by a conversation with the Pharisees. Then he was asked is it better not to get married.

It has to do with the hypocrisy of todays American Evangelical Church.

-Jesus said be a Eunuch is the best choice don't give your self to marriage. This is just completely ignored.

-Jesus said it's harder for a rich man to go heaven then a camel go through an eye of a needle, Ignored.

-Turn the other cheek, Ignored.

Yet when it comes to being Gay christians just love to jump on that band wagon. Why don't they Ignore that teaching of Christ ? It is easy to do. If you're a man and penis's dont turn you on. It is just so easy to say stop sinning you are an abomination you have to give up nothing and it allows you to feel superior to your fellow man. It is just a win-win for all you fundamentalist types. You can have your cake and eat it too.

What church would a homosexual couple go to, and what, do you think, the preacher would be hoping to accomplish? I realize that there are some frauds out there who just want to fill their offering plates, but I can't imagine anyone stooping so low as to allow homosexual couples to attend services. What sort of statement does that make to the rest of the congregation?
Here's a great one and is rated great too.

I look at your name and I see...

Dr. James Dobson
and Pat Robertson

Well, good luck here anyway.

And he says he is from Heritage. Heritage USA was the name of the now-defunct Christian theme park. That was run for a while by Jerry Farwell. I think you are on to someting.

My suspicions were roused when I asked him "So, just where is this Heritage, PA? it doesn't appear on any map." and he replied in post #8
"If you're going down 220 at Unionville, just stop at the gas station and ask anybody. They'll get you steered in the right direction."
Well, there is a Unionville Penn, but hwy 220 doesn't go through it, it's over 15 miles away.

To say nothing of the fact that there is no Heritage Pennsylvania.

This is sad. Truly sad.

Welcome doctor, in computer science : )

Could you tell me some more about your counseling to teens, homosexuals and drug addicts? Like what is your connection with other help organizations or professional healthcare workers?
You really shouldn't post your real name on the internet. Or your location.
It depends on the place you do it and what else you expose of yourself. I have been posting my real name and location on plenty of forums for the past 4 years and never encountered any problems. The only place I lied about my identity was on Stormfront.org.

Once I noticed the name thing I really didn't trust that he was for real.

But the subject itself was important.

Of course! I see Bald Eagle state park is in the area too. It all makes perfect sense! Everyone knows that bald eagles are naturally homophobic. :D

Sorry, I just hadn't said anything in a while. :)

Doc, Doc....where are you? Come on back, doc - I've missed you....

Why not just apologize (if you have lied) and pick it up from there?

C'mon doc; tell the truth and shame the devil!
