Depends Upon My Mood..
Sometimes when I'm in that haze between between asleep and fully awake I'll remember my dream. But in the seconds it takes to become completely conscious again, I have totally forgotten it. :(

Keep a note pad and a pen next to the bed and jot down the main theme...

And for dreams you do rermember the next day..write those down too..so you can remember them later...

That is if you want to remember them...

I have had dreams that stuck with me for days..and then I forgot..I have also had dreams that I still can remember today it I "put my mind to it"...

And quite a few recurring dreams..Now that you have brought it up..In fact last night I had the "teeth falling out dream"..I dream many differnt variations of my teeth falling out..Sometimes weekly I will have one..

I also have airplane crash dreams...and I have running from tornado dreams..Im naked in public dreams..being chased by a killer dreams..being able to fly dreams..having sex dreams...

Actually most of those are nightmares..Apparently Im in some sort of bad shape in the mind I guess..Because my doctor told me its not normal to have regular nighmares..He said most only have one or two a year...I have 50 or 60 a year..

One time my doctor told me that there was absolutely no meaning to dreams..Adn that they served no pupose whatsoever..Just random firings off of the brain..

I do not believe that for one second..For one ..there would be no way to explain why some people have similar themes to dreams..For example being able to fly..

Ok here is a significant dream from last week.
I had posted this somewhere else,
and am copying it here to RF for your dream reading pleasure.

It also gives a little insight into me in some other ways...
so without further adieu....

The Dream........"Welcome to the Labrynth"

Begins on an inner stairwell of an empty "abandoned"? building.
The building is rather like a warehouse? in construction.
Cement walls, office building type stairwell.

There is no light but a golden glow around me and just out in front of me,
illuminating just enough to walk by, but hazy.
The golden illumination is not coming from any electric lighting.

I am with someone,
but I don't know who.
A friend, but vague.
Male or Female I do not know.

My companion and I follow down the stairwell to the bottom
where the glow ends, at a T intersection.
It is very hazy... misty...
and the glow goes off just slightly to the right of the T,
and slightly to the left of the T,
and then fades into darkness.

My very first thought when I stand staring at the empty wall
before me at the bottom of the stairwell is
"the next time we come, we must bring books!"
and I envisioned book shelves lining the wall there in front of me.
It feels right, and I know it should be so.

I note that the glow dies out rather quickly
to the right and to the left,
and think "maybe we should've brought flashlights".
But that quickly gives way to an idea/suggestion
to my companion that we should paint the walls as we proceed in.
The glow was a golden hazy so I kind of envisioned a crisp golden paint,
to clean up the hazyness, and clear it up.
Almost as if to paint a brighter glow.

There was no discussion of exploring any further at that time,
and we turned around to exit the building.

On the way up there were three oscillating fans on the stairwell,
and I said... "should we leave them here for next time?"
"or should we take them with us".
My companion said "take them".

From the upper stairwell we entered into a HUGE black
and empty warehouse room. Totally dark.
After exiting the warehouse we found ourselves
in a vast parking lot. It was nighttime. Dark out.
But there were electric street lamps here and there,
so the lot was visible.

Then from the distance we saw a patrol vehicle of some kind approaching.
We knew that we must NOT be seen there!
We ran for a dark area,
and I laid myself down in a shadow on the ground.
I remember hoping that I was completely hidden in the shadow.

My companion however was seen and caught by this patrol personage.
The "officer" started beating and strangling my companion.
I knew he was killing him.
It was a "to the death" thing.
I thought to myself... "what now"?
"what can I do"?

and suddenly from behind
and over our heads from high above,
a dragon ... with a very long neck
swooped down to take care of the problem
in our stead. An Unexpected Ally.

It was then that I awoke.
Now some added info.

I have not had a vivid memorable dream like this
in a very very long time.

I used to remember and interpret dreams with some regularity,
especially after I first made my paradigm shift,
but not so over the past two years.

I was not nervous in this dream at all.
I was COMPLETELY and totally calm,
even when my companion was being assaulted.
(I used to walk empty office buildings
and basements, as a SO overnight,
and even as used to it as I was,
there was always a slight discomfort in it.
A nervous edge.
This dream had none of that.)

Just recently I "changed" my "religion"
from "Majik" to "Pan" on the other forum I frequent.
It was partly a play on words and meanings,
which is a MAJOR part of my own brand of "spell" "casting".
Pan of course meaning "All",
(Panentheism, Pansexuality)....
with allusions to the god Pan,
and Peter Pan (as I am now a dark tinker belle).
Related, and In conversation, Pan's Labrynth
has come up with Darkwater recently as well.
It was a movie I enjoyed immensely.

And just as I was contemplating this at the table tonight,
(Pan's Labrynth... and my dream...)
my son asked me from out of the blue...
"Have you ever been in a maze Mom?".
(meaning halloween corn maze, or hedge maze)
Now that type of syncronicity grabs my attention.
I brought him in the living room and told him of my dream.

We chatted about his game "labrynth" where objects
get randomly moved around the maze....
keys... candles... books.... etc

And when I told him about painting the walls...
to make them brighter, he immediatly said "RED".
And I looked at him. I said, "red"?
I told him about the golden yellow,
and he empatically said RED.
He said red is brighter like fire.
He jokingly said it was a good thing he wasn't my companion
because we'd be fighting over the color.

Now I don't know if you can imagine how this struck me.
RED. Red is not my color. Purple is my color.

And someone who was "reading" me the other day said,
(that would have been...Ymir--Paul)
RED. I see lots of red. And I was like, red?
I am UltraViolet! Not InfaRed! lol
And just before he "read" me, (lulz)
I had read a streak of yellow in something of his.

On my altar table are three presents,
tierd by size , small , medium, large.

My I-doll (Ultra) stands on any one of those "presents"
..... depending.

That day I moved her to the middle "present",
because the package is red, with a yellow bow.

And the dragon,
Just recently I was given the opportunity (card)
(from my messy basement floor)to "take another players card".
That card was a dragon.
Now I have never known dragons at all.
No real affinity.
But it was a chance card that "my reality" was handing me. So I took it.
I changed my RF avitars to incorperate purple fairies (me),
magic, and dragons. I combined the dragon card, with my banner card.

And now it seems I have an Ally.
A Dragon of great stature and strength!
I have never before ever had any creature as an Ally.
Either real, or fictional.

I welcome any comments on my dream.
I may elaborate more on what it points to for me,
I'm just afraid no one will really get what I'm talking about.

Can't brain. Has dumb.
Yeah! Hamburgers are sick!

Is that sick as in "yuck" or sick as in "awesome"?

It's a common term in Aus to say "oh sick!" when something impresses you or as an exclamation

Man: "Dude, I just scored tickets to travel to the moon as a tourist!"
Dude: "Oh sick man, that's awesome!"

i have always loved dreams (even have a little tattoo of the chinese symbol for 'dream')

now as a meditator i am interested in states of consciouness, and have been pondering that since dreaming is a state so obvious that we 'awake' from, why is it so difficult to become lucid in the normal waking state?

why do we believe the storylines in our waking life and dismiss the storylines in our dreams? i mean, after we die, or life events will be like a dream, no?

i love dreams that involve the sky, especially the night sky with a huge oversize moon, or a giant rainbow that is on fire.

Last night I had a dream that my older sister, Emily, decided to go live out in the woods, like just in the trees, without a house or anything, so my younger sister, Laura, and I decided to go out there too, and we slept in a tree, and then we figured out that Emily had actually been living in a house with a dog the whole time, and we had slept in the tree for nothing.

I had a dream that I had tons of tiny ice cream cones, and I was putting ice cream into each of them, and then setting them all upright in a bowl. But then when I looked at the bowl of tiny ice cream cones, they were all half melted. :( It was a very sad dream.

You said you have experience interpreting dreams, correct? What can you say about certain aspects in your dream?

The fact that the warehouse you were in was abandoned.
You were with someone (and yet couldn't identify them).
There was no light except the glow coming from you.
Once you left the warehouse, there was a cop there and you knew you weren't supposed to be there for some reason.

What is interesting is me is in your dream you said "for next time" twice. Bring books for next time, keep the fans there for next time. What's with that?

I'm also very interested in what your beliefs are. I'm sure you've explained this many a time, but I'm fairly new here. Do you mind maybe explaining to me in a nutshell? Because you said your first paradigm shift and that your altar table has three presents tiered by size, an I-doll. What does all this mean to you? I am very interested because I have recently been drawn to numbers, Tarot, astrology. Not putting faith in them to completely lay out the future in front of you, just believing that those things can most definitely act as guides.

One last thing :)sorry1:) I was wondering if you knew anything about when a little aspect of real life injects itself into a dream? In real life I owe a friend $40. I have the $40 to pay her and folded it and clipped it with a paper clip. I had a dream last night that I went to Mississippi to visit a friend (haven't talked to her in 8 years) who had a baby a few years ago. In my dream I handed her the folded and clipped $40, just like I had done in real life! She actually didn't even need the money, I just handed it to her because I thought I was handing it to my friend I owed it to, even though I was in Mississippi and this friend lives in Virginia. Why would a random real part of my life creep into my dream like that? Everything else was a part of my dreamland...yet I pull out the $40 exactly how I had folded and clipped it earlier that day. I'm sure it's nothing spectacular, it just struck me as very odd!

Sorry this is so long, but this all is so very interesting to me. Any thoughts about your dream or mine would be awesome!!! :)

Here's my dream:

I had a dream that I was still in college, but me and some of the other university students were in a class at my high school, with some high school kids, for some reason. I don't know what we were learning, but I sat by this really big guy, and before I knew it, I was leaning against him, and then I noticed, and I thought, "should I move? or does he care?"

Also, I was wearing my heels, because I guess I had an observation after the class... so I wanted to wear my pretty shoes. :D

I had a nightmare last night. In it I was sleeping but conscious and I was petrified to open my eyes because I thought something bad was going to be there when I opened them. I did the thing where I stop breathing!! :( So I woke up gasping with my eyes squeezed shut...I was scared to open them even when I became conscious. I did eventually and nothing was there.

Yes they are. I love dreams. There was a quote, and I'm not sure who said it, but it went something like this:

"Dreaming permits each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives."

I had a dream last night that I was speeding and got pulled over by a cop. She told me I was going 500mph and asked if I was even aware I could go 500mph and I said "No! I wasn't!" She wrote my ticket but only put that I was going 264mph..........and then she searched my car. ?!
