lets see fanatic. oil discovery? the bible or science? oil extraction? the bible or science? oil synthesis? science or the bible? oil distribution? science or the bible? oil consumption? Science? nope.....

oh well you have at least .00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% correct.

But I wouldn't rely on your fractional as fact. different words actually. So science is 99.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% at fault. my mistake sorry. science is not a philosophy its a mindless pursuit of what ever appears at the present. sort of like seals looking for fish.

You are not making any sense.

Yes, scientists discovered oil and what you can do with it.
Then they discovered the effects and warned people over 60 years ago.

People with financial interests in black gold took that warning and whiped their bum with it.
Then they went a step further and actively spread misinformation about it (and still do, even today).

You can stick your head in the sand if you want.

...It's greed and selfishness that keeps the world from acting on this climate thing, ....

I think more probably many people just understand that the fear mongering is not good reason to act. The whole “climate change” thing seems to be a way to sell more and collect more taxes. All solutions that are offered to “save people” are things that make people spent more and pay more taxes (polute more). That is why the real problem seems to be that people don’t pay enough, not the “climate change”. I think it is only an excuse to limit freedom and to take money from people.

Those who preach the “climate change” propaganda seem to be very hypocrite and don’t really care themselves about nature, only about getting rich with scare tactics.

...We should do all we can to slow, then halt, then reverse the trend because of the consequences that are happening now and will happen in the future.

Please explain what do you mean with consequences and how do you know they would not happen anyway?

I have no idea what you are on about.

Also: remove science and you can divide life expectancy by 3.
Science is far more valuable then any religion.

But as said, you can stick your head in the sand if you want.

I am sorry but pretending you actually are being "scientific" is laughable as well. You default to over population as justification for your nonsense.

Ironic, in my life time the population has grown from 2.8 to 7.5 billion. Thank you for cluelessly proving my point. Jesus freaks without Jesus are just as lame.

You seem to be all over the place and incapable of sticking to the point at hand.

I'm sure the Earth will be just fine and life will continue long after we've killed ourselves off and time of poisoning and killing life has come to an end.
We humans, on the other hand, we hear the tune of the Piper drawing near and we are terrified for ourselves because we know for us it isn't looking like it's going to end well.

I believe if there is a stop sign it is there for the purpose of making sure cars don't collide crossing an intersection. If I ignore the sign I put my life in jeopardy.
That is most definitely making a conscious effort to give it purpose.

Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...
Could it be in God's plan to cause it? Maybe He wants us to prevent it? To test us? Maybe it can't be prevented? Maybe it's just our slow distruction? Maybe it's nothing much.
Maybe it's something we did to ourselves, that there's no greater meaning to, that is entirely up to us to respond to. If you let your house fill with rubbish and vermin, there's no "meaning" to it, it's simply the way things are, and you can either do something about it, or do nothing and suffer.

oh lets see remove science poof no anthropocene epoch.
*poof*
-no computers
-no automation
-no modern medicine
-no significant reductions in the severity of global poverty
-no mass communication
-no means of systematically disproving fraudulent and bad claims and gathering evidence about the natural world to better explain it (the only thing science really is and does)

Life seems very robust, several times in the past has extinction events given rise to lower lifeforms becoming more dominant. The extinction of dinosaurs allowed the rise of mammals. What is next?

LOL!

I remember driving in Firenze (Florence in english, i believe). Man................ At one point, I had to cross like 4 lanes within 50 meters to make my turn, while surrounded by more Vespa's then I could count who were literally driving in all directions. I drove around the round point 4 times before I had the courage to just say "o well, i'll just signal and go for it". It was like I was a shark swimming through a school of fishes. Apparantly that was how you do it there. Just go. They'll stop and/or avoid you when you do. lol!!

Or Istanbul, that was even worse.
Those white lines that are painted on the roads.... That's just decoration.
And here and there you have these nice red, green and orange lights. No idea what their purpose was. :-O
