Coffee. I prefer a steady slow build to enlightenment for the day.
I like all of them, but voted Coffe because I normally drink it black
That is what I should do . And yet I drink very sugared espresso.Coffee I suppose. Caffeine doesn't have any effect on me and I usually drink it black.
Hmmm... Just curious, @Estro Felino . How popular is starbucks over there? Over here where I live (the home of starbucks), a lot of people don't actually go there. We have lots of coffee joints with different blends and specialties that are all unique, but I guess they are all similar to starbucks. In my neighborhood, I'd say there are about 5 cafes on my block.
Which one do you prefer and why?
As far as I know there are not so many Starbucks. One in Milan and one in Rome, for sure.
We have bars, where people go to have breakfast, drinking espresso or cappuccino and eating sweet stuff (croissants, cakes, pastry). In bars people buy drinks too and have lunch, sometimes.
Bars are everywhere...they are like your cafés
Generally espresso, and not just because a Greek colleague once told me anyone ordering a capuccino after midday is considered homosexual.

Being British, I have tea at breakfast, so that takes care of the need for early morning hydration, plus providing a caffeine shot to get me going. Coffee tends to be something I drink after lunch, when a small amount of something tasty and stimulating, perhaps with a square of chocolate, is just what I need. And then later, at teatime, I have, well, tea, obviously.
