Recently someone here mistook me for a woman...
I don't know if there are any people out there who think I'm female
This post is to inform people that I am indeed a man
I understand the confusion
It is a unisex name
There are plenty of manly men named Eddi:
EDDI - Wikipedia
Such as a boxer, a fencer, a professional footballer…
(…and a cabaret artist but that is not a manly occupation…)
It all began at University
I wanted to go by Ed but people insisted on calling me “Eddi with an I”
Hence I became Eddi
They had their reasons, I'm sure...
But I don’t mind being mistaken for a woman, not at all
Not that it ever happens not on the Internet:
In person I’m 6 foot 2 and big and hairy…
And going bald…
I'll never forget once when I was a (pre-pubescent) kid at primary school
At school the staff had hired a children's entertainer (I cannot remember why)
And the entertainer picked me out of all the kids who were watching his act
And asked me if I was a boy or a girl
He picked on me and actually asked me that
How insensitive!
At school I never liked football either, in fact I actually disliked it - both playing it and following it: BORING!
As a person I am not a manly man
But I am certainly a man, let it be known
Not that there's anything wrong with being a woman
I'm not at all manly but neither am I feminine
I don't believe a lack of masculinity equates to being feminine
Basically: I wouldn't say I'm masculine but I nonetheless identify as male!
So yeah, I'm a dude...
I hope this sets the record straight
