Anti-mask Huntington Beach restaurant says it will only serve unvaccinated diners

Mask very much work but not as well as the vaccines do. Also, with covid, transmission is overwhelmingly through airborne, much less by hands.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
The flu vaccine isn't perfect either.
Are you suggesting we should do away with that as well?

No vaccine is 100% effective.
But it helps tremendously.
Guess what? The vast majority of people being hospitalized right now are .... the unvaccinated!
Yet you don't see masking required every flu season.

We have a new vaccine every year for the flu. :hand:

COVID is more transmissible and more deadly than the flu.
The incubation period for COVID is longer than it is for the flu.

It's nuts to me that people are still bringing up "the flu" over one year into this pandemic.

This might be a thing of the past. I think we'll have to see.

In Asia, even before the pandemic, it was common for people to wear masks when they felt sick. That might become the trend here, too.

This needs to be emphasized and reemphasized so as to counter the idiotic nonsense that some parrot that the flu is just as deadly as this variation of covid.

So, where do they get this tripe from? I think we both know.

They are different viruses but they also have common similarities as well.

That's why the association exists.

COVID-19 (coronavirus) vs. flu: What's the difference?

I can't count the number of times I've seen someone try to downplay this as "just a flu" since this pandemic started.
It's really getting on my last nerve at this point.

Yup! Same place my nutty friend gets it from.
