you missed it again.
its at who's name everyone will bow the knee. the name isn't jesus. you got that wrong too. the name above all names isn't jesus.
the bowing is to the name and not the person.
philippians 2:20
the name is the name that all are washed from the inside and not the outside...
I don’t find Jesus Christ limiting. He is my all in all…
For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through...
" Heb. 1:8-10,13-16,39-40 " + " Ephesians3:14-15 (#1) "
The above verses have not been colored in red in the following Red Letter Bibles:
Holy Bible King James Version (Red Letter Edition)
The Roman Catholic Holy Bible with the words of Jesus in red.
World Messianic Bible
and that means...
Have you not read in the scriptures that Abraham never personally received what was promised to him (the promised land where he could rest and live peacefully) ?
Heb. 1:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place he was to receive as an inheritance; he went out...
perhaps the verse means you'll meet them when they are resurrected on earth
Jesus spoke of Abraham in reference to the resurrection of the dead
“As regards the resurrection of the dead, did you not read what was spoken to you by God, saying ‘I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and...
As a believer in Christ, I would agree with your statement...
In Rev. 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their...
Hi Frank,
As mentioned by @RabbiO , we don't believe we're going to heaven or hell when we die. So to answer your question, I'm not expecting to meet Abraham, or anyone else in heaven.
I do believe in resurrection in the new system that will come sometime in the future.
Cheers
Also to the people that believe abraham didn't really go to heaven. In some spirit form.
This is for you: THE RICH MAN AND LAZARUS (Luke 16) IS NOT A PARABLE
Do you think when we die and go to heaven. We meet people from the bible like abraham?I think we do.Because of Ephesians3:14-15.And Matthew 8:11.:)
Ephesians3:14-15
King James Version
14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 Of whom the whole family in...
It is true that all humankind, and even the angels all owe their family names to God:
"For this reason I bend my knees to the Father, 15 to whom every family in heaven and on earth owes its name."-Ephesians3:14, 15.
This is due to the fact that he created us all. Humankind is the offspring of...
i see the name as you do, i think
the name represents the characteristics of God, that’s why God has various names
the Lord, on earth, showed us how to live our lives
i don’t believe that “using” the name is necessary for salvation
because what we are being SAVED from, is ourselves
i see it...
I'll be typing this post out myself, as I do all my posts, but I'll use an article produced by my faith called 'Proving the Sacred Name From Your Bible" as my basis for this post. Why do the members of the Assemblies of Yahweh place such heavy emphasis on a Name? Is it merely to be different, or...
Fact is very few are invited to go to heaven.they dont go to set around and do nothing . they will have jobs to do. Possibly the same job for all eternal y
I believe it is reasonable to say that our spiritual state is our natural state and that is all that Phil. 3:20 says.
I do not see anything in the other verse maybe if you quote it I can see it.
Those who are to rule during the kingdom of heaven (Rev 20:4), must first rise from the dead at that time. The tares seed (Eph & Phi), the lawless message of the "devil" (Mt 13) the father of lies, does not have standing at the "end of the age", when the product of the tare seed, the tares...
No, I do not think that those verses are referring to a life in heaven right when we die, although I believe that is where we are headed, after the life review and the judgment.
I don't think this have anything to do with life in heaven at all. You have to read it in context and when you do, it seems to be more of a praise of staying strong and not lose hope/faith aimed at the gentiles, despite the dire situation that Paul is in.
This one seems to me to be part of the...
1 John 3:23 names those two commandments.
The word "one" in Deuteronomy 6:4 is the same word for Adam and Eve to be one flesh. And in one cluster of graoes, Numbers 13:23. Typically God is referred to in the plural. He is One, not many, not three. The Persons are three. There are...
