It’s November 2020. You’re sitting on the couch, watching the election results come in on your network of choice. Maybe it’s as you predicted. Maybe you’re shocked by the outcome. Maybe you’re sad/angry. Maybe you’re ecstatic. Why do you feel the way you do? Because Trump won. He was re-elected.
You wake up the morning after the election and think intelligently about the results.
Now answer this question: How or why did Trump win?
I have a slight variation on the same theme.
It's election night, 2020. All the news channels are covering the election, and Trump is losing badly. However, there's a firestorm of tweets about "fake news," "fixed election," "foreign collusion," "hacking." Trump vows he will not give up.
The next morning, you wake up to the sound of patriotic music on the radio. You turn on the TV, and they're announcing that Trump won a "unanimous victory." You log on to Religious Forums and notice that every anti-Trump post has been changed into glowing praise for Trump.
You go outside and notice that everyone is wearing "Make America Great Again" hats. It seems a bit ominous as there are some military vehicles about and some police checkpoints. The police stop you and ask where your MAGA hat is, and you tell them that your dog ate it. They believe you and immediately give you another one.
You see someone you know and ask them just what in the heck is happening. They start laughing uncontrollably as they go skipping down the street. Another person comes up to you and says "Psst, if you want to join the underground resistance, come with me."
