  • The best of relationship is, no doubt, the relationship of friendship. But it appears that, in today's world, you have to cultivate friendship, otherwise friends are lost. So we feel the need to keep in touch. Also, friends can be useful. So we have what is called networking, partying, sending seasonal greetings, celebrating events together . . . Alas, I am not onto all that. I believe in friendship, but I feel socializing is something else. Therefore I am somewhat of a recluse, by choice. I believe, more than have friends, we ought to be friendly in nature. Then friendship would not be reduced to an insurance-policy-relationship - someone there to help me when I need help. We would be ever ready to help, not on the basis of any relationship, but by virtue of our friendly nature. Such a friendly nature comes naturally to a person who has no burdens, who is totally free - a spiritual person.

I am happy we are friends. Your words are always words of light.
GI Gurdjieff has personally authored four books total with his main work being the trilogy series of books titled "All and Everything." These include the aforementioned "Beelzebub's Tales To His Grandson", "Meetings With Remarkable Men", and "Life is Real Then, When 'I AM'." Another book that may be important to study could be PD Ouspensky's "In Search of the Miraculous."
I am actually just in the process of reading "Beelzebub's Tales To His Grandson" for the first time and have only recently begun to study his teachings. It is the only book out of the three that I have right now and am going to try to read them in order. Once I am finished, I can let you borrow "Beelzebub's Tales", although it will take awhile as it is quite a long read. So much is found within the pages of the book that Gurdjieff advises people to read it three times to get the full gist of what he was trying to teach. Gurdjieff is a very interesting character though and it would be well worth it to read some of his work..
    friend Somkid,
We are o the same mould; so if you suffer remeber the other suffers too.
Lord Buddha taught us that we suffer due to our own causes and for ending all sufferrings of humans on earth is all his teachings about.
As by now you would have understood that it is the MIND that causes the sufferrings. You become frustrated because what others say and who interprets this to you? your mind interprets others responses as that it goes against your belief. Being a buddha means that the Mind no more dictates and whatever happens outside does not affect the buddha as his mind is completely at rest. Sharing is important to grow and for which we need different platforms; RF is one. If you allow your mind to control you, growth will be difficult as mind is EGO which one has to LET GO.
Meditate as that is the only solution to let go of ego and not keeping away from RF etc.
    See you soon.
    Love & rgds
Long time no hear indeed. I have stopped posting and visiting the site in general. I get really frustrated when people try to tell me "what Buddhists believe" and it creates suffering thus I put an end to suffering by not posting or reading. If we were to dictate to someone of another belief there would be hell to pay but when it comes to Buddhism well, I guess because we are so easy going people can say what they want even if it is incorrect and misinformed. Anyway I'm happy to add you to my friend list and I'm happy to respond to you personally.
