Hey Brother, thanks for the story in my travel thread. I hope to have some more pics up in the next few days. Be well. :namaste
    Lol, you're very welcome. :)

I agree; if we can't trust our nature, what can we trust?
I can understand the claims of life being bitter and/or sour, but I don't think it is either. I do understand how there's suffering in life, but I enjoy it. ;)

I've always had a soft spot for Taoism. TTC is one of my favourite books and all. :D
Adding: I mean, did you always have the Taoist attitude, or did you identify with the Confucian one first?
So you know I DID read what you wrote. :D
I think it may boil down to that.
So has your vinegar always tasted sweet for you?
    Metaphorically, anyway. :D
There's no shortage of drunken Taoists - I am one myself atm. In the folk tale 7 Taoist Masters, one of them is into drinking and whoring. So there you go. :)
I did tai chi and chi gong too - I don't practice any more because I moved and I don't have a teacher to inspire me or kick my butt. My first teacher was so awesome nobody else has been good enough.
Hi - I like your posts too. Taoish is my tacit acknowledgement of the difference between philosophical and religious Taoism. I leave the "ism" to the religious folks and dedicated practitioners of Taoist arts. I'm too lazy to practice and too rational to be religious. :)
