Interesting. I cannot find one news article, or Google result showing Italy supporting Putin. I did see an article last week (can't find it now) in which italy was 68% opposed to Putin's invasion of Ukraine. With a high percentage undecided because Italy relies so much on Russian exports.

And in the UN, no support for Putin from Italy at all
Russia’s friends in the UN counted on the fingers

It also seems several russian oligarchs luxury yachts birthed in Italian ports have been impounded by the Guardia di Finanza.

It depends on what the American flag represents, what do they think it represents? What does the right think It represents? I have ancestry from the four corners of Europe, so to me it is supposed to be a symbol that can integrate any qualities it might. In doing that, it does automatically seen to dismiss the concept of borders, in a sense

All the moderate left of centre parties I am aware of in Europe support the nation state. I am unaware of any that call for national borders to be dissolved. Even Jeremy Corbyn wanted the UK to leave the EU, to make it easier to build socialism in one country.

Confusing. In America for example, the left is/was more for making borders more permeable - they certainly didn't support trump in making the wall, if I remember correctly

One can also think of a border as being a spectrum. On one end, it can be like a huge walled-off bunker of a wall, and on the other end, it can be fully permeable. If it is fully permeable, though still 'there,' it de facto does not really exist

Also, your understanding of communism is different from mine. Communists nationalize culture as well as economics, so that means that they would be quick to externalize the content of other nations

specious to say they all hate the Constitution, all hate

Liberals & conservatives are so often at each others'
throats, imagining the worst....boiling children alive,
