it was current. Do you suspect otherwise?

It seems that you & I are among the very few
who actually perused the article & pix linked
in the OP. Her apologists aren't addressing
the situations presented at all.

I have no evidence, but yes do suspect. The article mentions no date for the event, nor does the original tweet.

I make no claims, no assumptions. This could be recent or not. I think it is irresponsible to spread this video without that basic information.

Whatever happened to “ who, what, when and where”? That use to be basic to journalism.

I googled the story to see which sources had reported it, and I could only find it on unreliable websites like the NY Post, Daily Mail, etc. So it's unclear whether the pictures are from the last few weeks to begin with or are recycled from pre-COVID times.

Regardless, if AOC flouted the preventive measures recommended by relevant medical organizations, then she would be wrong as much as the next person. She's not a medical expert and should never be viewed as such; I'll continue basing my precautions concerning COVID prevention on medical consensus rather than politicians' (or other laypeople's) actions.

It might well be current, it seems as if it is given the context around it, but it would take other corroborating information to be sure. I know that using old photos and video has been done before, as news outlets including Fox news did when showing empty shelves in stores that were either a year old from the beginning of the shutdown or even from other countries. I don't trust anything at face value.

That's the idea, IMO. Staying out of the hospital.
Since we are not going to stop the infection spread, lets look at ways to make it less deadly.
