Climate Change Hypocrisy

I am not missing the point. Nor do I deny that the climate changes or that humans abuse the planet. But the fact is that if the elites who seek to impose restrictions on everyone else while they carry on with their humongous carbon footprints, will not help with the issue. The impact of the average person is minuscule compared to the globalists, the corporate entities they control and the damage they are creating. Obviously, they don’t truly believe their own fear-mongering narrative about climate change, if they can’t even live according to what they’re saying.
What is a “globalist”? It’s a term you have used a couple of times now and I am unfamiliar with it.

Elites, activists, & politicians who want us all to be greener
should walk the walk. This would send a powerful message.
More than merely lecturing us from their yachts, mansions,
& private planes. Tis a message worth sending. But they're
failing at it.
The left should spend more effort criticizing their wanton ways
& high carbon footprint....not defending them with apologetics.
Be less tribal, fellow fans of our environment!

Which meat-eating members of this elite told us to eat bugs at COP26? I seem to have missed it somehow?
Whether they did then or not, I regularly hear the message
that we must stop eating meat, & become bug & veggie
eaters. It all comes back to the issue that leaders who
don't lead by example need to do a better job. Theatrics
matter to the masses.

What are you talking about? I personally think we are to be stewards of the earth and definitely don’t side with the world system of destroying the earth.
I believe the message of the OP, and the reason for posting it comes off like this: "Hah, they say we should make all these sacrifices to stop climate change, and their actions show that they don't even believe in it themselves! So why should we? Quit eating meat, hah! Until they show me that they care, I'm not going to believe them."

That is why people usually post gnat-straining articles like this. That is the message it conveys. Where are all your other posts about why we as stewards of the earth should care about global warming? I'm not recalling any like that. I seem to only see "why should we believe them about all this" type posts. To me, that just encourages people to disregard the facts and act contrary to the common good.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
That is absolutely the stupidest thing you could possibly say.
Nope. Because I'm not brainwashed and spoon fed information by people that have and display no care by virtue of their personal actions. Talk is cheap.

If the people that have more inside information than you and me put together are not overly concerned or in great urgency of the alleged danger, than I have no subsequent need nor reason to be the same likewise.

Until then, I bide the time until I see it in their own faces and actions.

Lead by example or don't lead at all.

Certainly I see the parallel, but I also see the huge problem of those in power making rules for everyone, from which they are exempt...kind of like abusive churches, but on a national and global scale.

Yes, hypocrisy is bad. Humans often fail to live up to their own ideals. No argument there.

Do you believe we need to reduce our GHG emissions? Should we be transitioning to renewable energy instead of fossil fuels?
