Arkansas inflicts child abuse on its school children

A religious thread on a religious forum talking to people who sport evolution as the origin of life as fact, talking of your real life experience and what God has shown you and the unbeliever is calling a foul. I’d say the original post was the troll and an inflammatory comment. Some rightly said saying it was child abuse was wrong, even though they didn’t agree with the creation account and had a different view.
Let's get back to the subject of the thread. Creationism was shown to be wrong over 100 years ago. You refuse to even learn the basics of science so any opinions you have are totally without merit. Most Christians do not believe the myths of Genesis. Unlike you they do not believe in a lying God.

That wasn’t what the thread was about, but your comment is an example of how a troll would comment.

Actually it is. Go back and read the OP. Do you not understand that teaching children a lie is child abuse?

Fools in Arkansas want to break the law by teaching creationism to children. That is not only child abuse, it is also not allowed by the Constitution. It seems that the citizens of that state are very slow learners:

So now you’re saying our government is abusing children by teaching that evolution is the origin of life, that boys can be girls and girls can be boys? But Creationism hasn’t been disproved, not even close, because the truth is in Genesis. You cannot disprove the biblical account. You can try to make those claims by really can’t, even your conscience knows that.

Most Christians do not believe the myths of Genesis
This is another false statement, there are people that believers in Jesus Christ, been born of the Spirit, have repented and walking with God - Believers/Christians they know the truth, that the whole Bible is the truth, Genesis is the true account. Then you have the rest of the people - Unbelievers - If a person doesn’t believe the whole Bible they aren’t a Believer so how can they be a Christian?

Reversing the burden of proof is a logical fallacy. Creation "science" has to proof that it is science not science to proof that it isn't.

Would you like to put that up as new OP?
Or, if you're not yet familiar with that process, are you OK if I put up that OP?

The version of creationism that claim the Earth is less than 10,000 years old, that there was a global flood, and that species do not change over time HAS been disproved scientifically. In fact, it was disproved more than 100 years ago and all evidence points against it.

What do you think of this article: Do you scrutinize your beliefs? We see things differently, is this article an honest assessment?
RADIOMETRIC DATING: FLAWS OF PRESUMPTION – Evolution is a Myth

An article full of the same misunderstandings and lies that were presented by creationists 40 years ago. Do you want me to go through the issues one by one?

The most important one is the constancy of the rate of radioactive decay. This is tested by considering the conditions under which that rate *can* change. What we know is that for the nuclides used in dating, the decay rate doesn't change unless the pressure and temperature are large enough to strip the electrons from atoms. In other words, you need temperatures of thousands of degrees for this to happen.

The reason? The nucleus of the atom is at the center of the atom, protected by the electrons surrounding it *and* the positive charge of the nucleus prevents any interaction with other things unless those electrons are stripped away and the temperature is very high.

So, it is fine to claim that it is an assumption that the rates do not change. BUT, if you want to say that this happens in reality, you need to demonstrate it. And, at that point, the evidence shows the creationists are simply wrong.

Now, if you want, we can go through other specifics (unusual age to a lava flow, for example, or unusual age for modern clams). And we can discuss how scientists actually work to prevent exactly those types of errors.

No method is reliable if a fool is conducting it. Creationists tend to not understand what they are doing and misinterpret their results because of basic errors that no real scientist would make.

This is wrong for a number of reasons. One is that even those that selected the books of the Bible (hundreds of years after the events described) didn't believe this doctrine.

No, no, no. Teaching the lie of creationism is abuse. And yes, creationism was disproved over one hundred years ago.

I offered to go over the basics of science with you so that you could understand your error. But you know that you are wrong and learning would mean that you could no longer fool yourself.

If you get over your fears the offer is still open.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭NIV‬‬
If you’re born again you know this and live by the Word of God. Not a false interpretation and perverted view of Scripture but the Holy Spirit teaches a believer what God means and how to apply the word of God.

There are different points of view so it’s misleading to say that science disproved these things.

Arkansas State House Republicans Pass Bill Allowing Creationism in Science Class

These children will have a lot of catching up to do when they leave school and join to the real world.

Science should be taught in science and creation should be taught in church Sunday school.
Yet when the kids go to science class what they were taught in church will collide with science and nothing can really be done about that. All we can do is let them grow and they can decide as they grow.

Let's stop making the arguments personal.
I also recommend against using the term, "lie".
Yes, yes, creationists are at best not even wrong.
But they sincerely believe it.

Isn't there such a thing as civics?
Creationism is obviously a recurring debate point. Ignoring it in school seems wrong to me, it just isn't science and shouldn't be taught in science class.

Is there no end to your condescending behavior?

Perhaps you would do well to stop “offer”ing to teach people things they did not solicit. As I see it, it’s no different than proselytizing.

People will accept what they are ready to accept when they are ready to accept it. Stop force-feeding.

I know, I should not stoop to their level.

Some people refuse to learn and harm others with their beliefs. It can be hard not to be condescending to those that act in that manner.
