Contradictions in the Bible

These are the compelling parts of your post:
I believe the Bible as it claims to be the Word of God.
Yeah, but it doesn't do that, as we've shown. You claim that it says that. The fact hat you do that is very revealing, when juxtaposed with your last statement in your post.

I don't consider it an obsession.
Of course not. Many junkies don't think they have an addiction problem, either.

I don't allow the 'human factor'
You "don't allow" the human factor. You. How arrogant of you, given that God dwells with us and that we are the Body of Christ. Very enlightening.

You do with what I said as you do with the Bible. You only address the parts you want and leave out the rest. Yet you **** and moan about 'context'.

What a hypocrite.

You say that the Bible is the word of God, yet you twist things to suit your own confirmation bias.

What a hypocrite.

You tried to smoke it up a bit. But all you are saying is your don't believe in the Rapture so 'air' must not mean 'air'.

Good-Ole-Rebel

The only reason the Rapture can not happen.
Is because Jesus Christ given the last Prophecy to happen in his book of Revelation.
Therefore Jesus Christ can not return until the last Prophecy happens first.

That when this last prophecy happens brings the end to the tribulation and the return of Jesus Christ.

So what good is your Rapture going to do, Seeing Jesus Christ can not return until the last Prophecy happens first.
That when this last prophecy happens the tribulation is over and then Jesus Christ returns.

The Rapture is not to be identified as the Second Coming. The Rapture is the Church being called out to Christ to meet Him in the air. The Second Coming is when Christ returns all the way to the earth.

The Rapture takes the Church out in order for God to finish His work with Israel.

Yeah and there's only one problem with that.

It seems that your trying to over ride what Jesus Christ has given in his book of Revelation.
That he can not return until the last Prophecy happens first and when this last prophecy happens the tribulation is over, so what good is the Rapture

There has been much theological debate historically as to how this should be interpreted, with one of them being that all of these things minus Jesus' eventual return were taking place at the end of the 1st century. The "millennial reign", for example, was not viewed as being a future event but was looked upon as a reference to Jesus' kingdom on Earth that Jesus had already created. There was no other reference of such a "reign" in any of the other books nor in early Church tradition, so when the Book of Revelation was canonized it was done under the assumption that this "reign" was most likely symbolic.

Personally, I have no irons in that fire as it's pretty much impossible to know with any certainty what the author meant. Which brings up another point in that, even though the introduction of the book says it was written by "John on Patmos", it appears that he may either not have actually written it or that maybe he only wrote part of it according to some theologians. My response: whatever.

I just explained it. The Second Coming of Christ is not the Rapture. Go back and reread what I said.

What you have is all man's teachings, which doesn't line up to what Jesus Christ given in his book of Revelation.

Therefore Jesus Christ is the Author of the book of Revelation. Unto which Jesus Christ gave unto John.

Maybe of those so called theologians had read the book of Revelation they would know who written and who the Author is of the book of Revelation.

It doesn't matter what rapture your referring to,
Jesus Christ can not come until the last Prophecy that Jesus Christ given happens first,
In his book of Revelation.
That when this last prophecy happens the tribulation is over and then Jesus Christ returns and not before the last Prophecy happens first.

Jesus said when you see the Abomination of Desolation flee to the Mountains.

Matthew 24:16 16then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

Luke 21:21 21Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city.

That's really quite condescending of you to imply that these theologians, whom generally are professionals that know Koine Greek and Hebrew, know less than you.

BTW, there's not one shred of evidence that Jesus wrote anything other than when he did it in the sand. Also, anyone who's been in serious Bible studies well knows that certainty is the enemy of good scholarship, so intelligent people can read the same narrative and yet draw some different conclusions.

Assuming that you don't think you're omniscient, let me recommend that you not be so condescending. If you're not willing to do that, then there's no need for me to discuss such matters with essentially a self-appointed prophet.

Scofield and the Dallas Theological Seminary have really screwed up Protestantism.
