I am glad your surgery went well, most do !
Unfortunately, mine did not.
After the surgery, I had no blood pressure, and the hospital code team was activated to resuscitate me.
Once I was back, my kidney ś failed, and I had bone marrow suppression, requiring many units of blood.
I finally stabilized, and rehabbed. After 31 days in the hospital, 10 in ICU, I went home.
6 months later, over night, the knee swelled up like a balloon, and I was delirious. I was air lifted to the hospital , and the knee was immediately redone.
Repeat of the original after surgery symptoms.
I went home after another month in the hospital. That was 5 years ago, and the knee is fine.
I blew the knee out in a football game in 1972, and had repair surgery for the first time then, with no problem.
Luckily, only 3% of knee replacements have serious complications. I never win in Vegas either.
The other knee is shot as well, no surgery on it, ever, thank you very much.
