I worship at the Synagogue of Satan. Which, I don't know, maybe that's to be expected of a snake-viper love-child of the devil.

I've heard so much, not only from those who are anti-Muslim but from Muslims against other Muslims that I can't even answer this

"So what happens if you're wrong and wind up burning in Hell?"

Gotta love those that live by Pascal's wager.

I didn't know you believed in God or god magic.

I dont but many do, a belief i find dumb. But hey, thats just my view they are entitled to believe anything that cant be explained or even stuff that can be explained but they dont want to understand was all done by god magic.

Any of the various conspiracy theories about Catholicism are options. Best one I've heard on RF that I've heard nowhere else is that Catholics aren't Christians because we worship the Sun.

Solaire, is that you?

Anyway, the dumbest remark about my beliefs was "Your believe in a bowl of soup you idiototed retart"
That's a quote, btw. And yes, they did confuse soup with the holy pasta.

I'm a little hesitant to call it dumb but I can get exasperated by people who insist I must believe in mythology as literally true or else I'm not a "real theist". Thus far I've never had a fellow Pagan tell me anything of the sort. It's always been people with only the most rudimentary knowledge of both Paganism and mythology.

Now I say I'm hesitant to call it dumb since I have a good idea of where this comes from. There are still plenty of theists who insist on strict literalism and those are typically the theists who draw a lot of attention to themselves. So yeah, I get why people might have their views coloured.

It becomes dumb when the same people repeat the mistake over and over. At that point they've gone a bit beyond simple ignorance.

That atheists bravely 'see the world as it really is' rather than relying on 'comforting myths' like religious folk do.

It's stupid because we all rely on comforting myths be they religious or otherwise. Some of us just lack the self-awareness to realise this or seem to think that irreligious narratives are somehow fundamentally different to religious ones.

Hey, at least your synagogue exists! Mine was invented by lying Rabbis!
