Women Going Topless In Your Community

...and you seem to be saying that the public ought to be told by some strangers what standards it should accept.
No need to tell anything to anyone. There are always individuals pushing the envelope. There are always traditionalists railing against novelty, and the general public chats about it at the office for a few days then looses interest as some new scandal emerges.

QUESTION: If you don't live in any of these cities would you support an initiative to allow females to go topless in your community.

Why?

Why not?

.

I would abstain from support and opposition. This isn't an issue I concern myself with. If women want to go topless fine by me.

The only point(s) I have is/are be aware there will be reactions and comments so be prepared. Positive, negative and without request. Consider your safety as well as this will draw people to you due to basic biology from flirting to well worse. There will be ideological push back too. Be aware of your environment and those in it. Stay safe.

So glimpsing the human form could potentially collapse civilization?
Nope, already been done. :p

But seriously, clothes give us dignity and respect for one another.

And then we could consider the sanitary conditions that could easily arise.

But the notion that the human body is something shameful is completely cultural and arbitrary; it's entirely irrational. Europe has a much more relaxed attitude toward sex and nudity and they seem to be doing fine.

I wouldn't mind it personally, but it might be quite disruptive, so caution may be advised.
The real question is, do women ACTUALLY go topless in any of these cities (or in Canada-Brrrrr!!!)

Traditional would be living like those in Bora Bora or the Amazon, as has been pointed out, wearing little or no clothing. It didn't stop them from eating one another. What, exactly, is wrong with requiring women to wear tops in public spaces that is so important that it requires a change?

But you could also say they're status markers that reinforce a social hierarchy and undermine equality.
And then we could consider the sanitary conditions that could easily arise.
OK. Should we dress our dogs and cats in pants, as well?
Don't look at us, it's the website sponsors who make those calls, not our individual feelings. We just enforce the guidelines given.
Just following orders, eh?

Freedom, equality, and the American way!
No-one's requiring anything, just allowing. In places where it is allowed, a spike in cannibalism is yet to be observed....
