I am looking forward to the glorious day when Jesus returns. I don't think it will be too much longer. What about you?

I'm not waiting.
It's full speed ahead for all my plans.

On second thought, I'm only about half speed at best.

Define soon, since Jesus said he'd be back within the lifetime of his disciples, and the other numerous times people have said he'd be back.

As He was speaking to His disciples concerning the end of the age and the tribulation, He told them these things would occur, including His return, before the generation which sees Israel back in the land again passes away.

“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. Matthew 24:32-35

I can't actually define soon, because I think it is inappropriate to set dates. I just sense that it will be soon because Israel has been a nation again for seventy years and it seems to me that the church age is coming to an end. God will again be dealing with and highlighting Israel.

oh.....you mean that day wen the angelic drop you at His feet
and He says.......
What's THIS......!?

and the angelic excuse themselves saying......
he used your Name as if it belongs to him
we thought he was one of Yours

and you shall have your day of reckoning with your Lord

I think you will be waiting a long time. What makes you think He’s about to Return and how would you recognise Him if He came?

I will not have to recognize Him, although Jesus will always have the nail scars. I believe all believers will be changed in the twinkling of an eye to meet Him in the clouds before the tribulation. After that, eye on earth will see Him coming on the clouds.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
No. But I do think a lot about rebirth. I wouldnt want to come back but then sometimes I wonder if my life would be better if I did.
I figure our mind will be effectively wiped clean from any memory of pre-existence like this life is. It's paradoxical that it will be another person's concern for another time completely oblivious of who they were.

Coming back through rebirth/ reincarnation sounds very depressing to me.

Yeah. The Buddha taught how to end it so we wont go back. Im not a fan of dying, but the more I think of it, it seems less stressful than any form of eternal life. I rather find ways to mentally prepare myself for death. I just dont want to die in pain. Ive never been in a looking outside in. Im finally as healthy I can be since Im not as sick anymore. So, I think of it as someone is worst off than me and I am worst off than someone else. A balance.

It is depressing. I wouldnt know how Id want to be if I do "come back."

Didn't Siddhārtha Gautama, the Buddha, go through about 100,000 rebirths before he reached the point where he found enlightenment?
