Thank you, you'd be surprised though how ignorant i am of some parts of my very own culture and heritage :p

But what i know i like very much. Basically being an Egyptian, regardless of what current events and conditions that goes on, gives something i guess to illogically be proud of. Though one normally shouldn't really indulge in being proud of things he hasn't contributed to in anyway, still you can't help it. And that feeling helped a lot in the process of finding value for your country even in the worst times.

I guess you know what i mean, being from England. Its like your parents for example did something great even before you were born, you feel proud of them and feel good about being their son. Aside from that, i'm also the kind of person who holds things that he grow up with very dearly, more than usual. That includes people, places and common culture in general. So i like being an Egyptian in many ways.

Thanks, lets hope for a bright future for Egypt,i have another question, what kinds of fast food do you get in Cairo,do you have street venders like here where you can get Kebabs,Burgers,Chicken etc.

I hope so, thank you :)

Yeah there are some of those, usually not that clean to eat from though. There are also of course the famous fast food places all over.

Pretty much the same names you're accustomed to.

I bet they taste just as bad too :D

Haha, probably worse.

So Badran, why do you hang around on the RF?

Basically for the benefits i get from hanging around here. Benefits which i was looking for. Aside from straight forward learning about other views, thoughts and religious beliefs, i also gain a lot from some of the debates and discussions i participate in, in general.

In real life, my friends and i agree on most things, so we don't debate much (or at least not enough for what i want). I wanted to do this also with people who think very differently from me. Its also fun of course, i enjoy doing this.

haha I know about the cafe b/c I was looking over whether to go to Egypt or not and was looking to see what I would do there :)

I think everyone in the Middle East is a smoker until their father walks in the room.

Haha, thats almost entirely true. Most of us try to sneak around in the beginning, i wasn't so good at it. When i was trying to hide it from my parents about 5 years ago, i got caught in a couple of weeks.

And in another instance my friend's father saw us smoking shisha and cigarettes at the same time. He thought i was crazy and later told his son to stay away from me.

I was a little crazy at the time to be honest. I'm okay now though :D

It certainly is, i enjoy it more than i should though which makes it really hard :p

I've been trying to stop smoking for a while and failing, but hopefully i'll manage to do it soon.

Whatever possessed you to become a mod?
Did they approach you? ....threaten you?
Or did you apply for the job?
How's the pay? Is it in frubals?

I was told either to accept the position, or be prepared to lose my frubal wealth. Seeing that i already lust for power and glory, and that my greed would not allow me to lose my wealth, i saw no reason to grow some pride and refuse, so i accepted.

This might seem horrible, but in a way, i am getting paid in frubals. They've let me keep mine.

True, i had already rightfully earned them. But still that counts as pay, right?

right?

Sometimes giving the honest answer isn't the best thing to do you know.

However, since its too late for that, perhaps you can make it up to me by helping renegotiate my deal here sometime.

I was born with a faulty version of the gene, sadly. Good luck when it's time to renegotiate your contract — you didn't say you were going to stick with it for eternity, did you?

You're not saying that was a bad move too, are you?

Just kidding, of course i didn't say that. What do you think i am?

I told them the deal's good as long as they see fit. They thought that was honorable of me.

I agree, it was. I don't know why they were laughing though, i suspect they were excited about the fact that i'm becoming a Mod.

Silly Question- Badran do you like Hummus?

You mean when its made in the way to be used as dip?

If so yeah i love it. The reason i ask is because there is another famous thing here also called Hummus from the same stuff, just made differently and for a completely different purpose.

That other thing is also called Halabesa.

Have you tried using Hummus as a sandwich spread? Kind of like mayo? It provided a rather unique taste.
