I'm not sure what the polls mean by a majority of progressive ideals then.

What mistaken political pundits call conservatism is a mistaken identity of idealism, American idealism, which is a belief that is worthy of being spread over the complete planit. It can not be forced upon a people but when they are free to hear and learn about the freedom people can have, they want this American idealism. It is working in Iraq and has spread to Tunisia, Egypt, and threaten to break out in the entire Mid East. The USSR could not stand up to American idealism and G.W. Bush has preached this same gospel. Although he told the world that it was vital to stand on principle, liberals, anti establishment progressives continued to defy his idealism. They cursed him for Iraq and they chided every word he spoke. Had Obama supported the people's idealism of Iran, Iran might not be the problem to the world it is today. It is vital that Obama disregard his foolish views of not being a leader in democratic reform and take the side of the people in counties where they are willing to follow the American idealism of G.W. Bush. The liberals will hate it but Bush will be regarded by history as one of America's great patriots and leaders.

You do realize that Bush's family has much history with the Arabs dating back to his grandfather's time right? It's easy when you're exchanging favors and money amongst each other to come to agreements.

I think we need to start a Governmental program much like what JFK did when he started the goal of man walking on the moon. This program should be putting an end to the internal combustion engine. I think what he was trying to say is that Bush II's "Idealism" doesn't exist.

The Sandia's and other Mid East leaders have no fear in telling the current American administration to go to hell. The world does not respect the sucking up and apologizing position of Obama's liberalism. Obama will never be able to kiss enough checks to support the march of Reagan/Bush's idealism in the world. I hope the world can endure another two years until America can provide another leader like Reagan/Bush. I am afraid Obama ain't it.

I am also convinced that Regan was a great actor...and used the ignorant right just the way he wanted, to spread liberalis,.
also, Bush won only one election...the one the war was also used for. the first one, he just got lucky that we have corrupt ignorant conservatives in the Supreme Court...because he didn't even win by a majority of the vote (democracy) but by a majority of electoral college...after some corrupt activism by one of our appointed Kings in the Supreme Court.

I call B.S. Most of the world is envious of democratic societies. Capitalism enables people to improve their lives. It gives people an opportunity not a guarantee.

That is why many people come to the U.S.A.

IMHO Obama is failing miserably at being a leader for our nation and the world. His election was won on folks wanting a change for the better. Two years later, he has lost his mandate.

Most often it is due to economic perspectives, far as I can tell. Ideology rarely plays into it.

IMHO Obama is failing miserably at being a leader for our nation and the world. His election was won on folks wanting a change for the better. Two years later, he has lost his mandate.

Then again, it must be recognized that far as "being a leader for the world" goes, GWB lost it years later. I don't fully understand why Obama is so little effective at domestic matters, but it seems to be mostly a manifestation of an internal divisiveness that has little to do with him personally.

That, and some severe economic anxiety.
