G.W. Bush's Idealism is Winning the World

Too early, in my opinion. A prodigious amount of disorder and chaos. Also, there is no question that the administration was shockingly unprepared for the aftermath of the war. A great many people lost their lives between 2004 and 2007 who needn't have. (No phenomenon of this size has simple effects - most of the persons murdered were murdered by other Muslims, who thereby lost their cachet - but Bush and Rumsfeld bear heavy responsibility.

But in 2011 there is every reason to hope that something good has come out of all this sacrifice.

right...hence letting it pass by. Congress is the one who makes the check, Presidents sign it.
surely you know something about economics don't you?

is that second video supposed to make fun of Obama or Obama's bow-down metality to the ridiculous screaming right?
In other words, are these serious conservatives or liberals mocking them? can you tell?

You have to realise that many of our Liberal friends detest capitalism. They want to ignore dictatorships that impoverish their people and promote discrimination of women.

They do not embrace hard work and sacrifice nor do they realise that opportunity does not guarantee success.

I thank God every day that they are less than one forth of our population although you would not see this fact represented in this debate.

I foresee more demonising and contempt for our ideals.

nah, that's not it...you people are just wrong.

Congress made all the Bills that Obama signed.
Obama signed them because he thinks they help the people.
Plenty of informed people think it will help also.
Most American's are progressive.
I embrace hard work and sacrafise
opportunity explicitly doesnot equal success. everyone always has had opportunity.

Without Bush and Regan, there would have been many more informed people in this world...thus making it a beter place.
After all, they were presidents of America, NOT the middle east or russia...which is what idealist people seam to forgot while their hand is so used to pat themselves on the back.
"our conservative presidents are sooooo good at spreading liberalism everywhere else" But they're not. reality just has a liberal bias.

IMO you are correct but even if Iraq fails at its pursuit of freedom, it seems that the affect that even this brief attempt at the march of freedom has been sown firmly in the Mid East. It is also a fact that many evil forces are present in the area that will attempt to sidetrack those who seek freedom. R. Reagan demonstrated what effect a few words can have on the course of history and I would encourage our President to speak these words soon. It will never be known what effect his words of encouragement could have meant to the people of Iran had these words been spoken in their time of need.

Regan might as well have flipped the Bird to Russia's president. and the effect of his words would have been the same...THEY HAD EXTREMELY LITTLE EFFECT... the soviets were already collapsing.

It WOULD have meant that the protesters were agents of America and were completely unIranian.

Would it be asking too much for conservatives to pay attention to what goes on in the world or perhaps pick up a history book sometime?

The "star wars" speech was the straw that broke the camel's back. I would be interested in your opinion of the cause why the soviets were already collapsing.
what a hefty and resistant camel, being as he lasted about 9 more months with that straw that barely anyone noticed, and after all those protests in east germany, the walls came down. the east germans probably edidn't even hear the Actor's speach. the only people who seamed to have an ear were the Russian government, being as they were extremely insulted and claimed the Regan was trying to start a war with such a speach.
fell probably because their economy sucked, since they spent most of their time being scared of American attacks.

hindsight isn't always 20/20 sometimes its just completely imagined.

they couldn't handle it because they were'nt China?

oh wait wait, i know: Regan's magic incantation!!

China has a TV station on Dish. China appears to have a very sophisticated society and technically advanced culture from what you see on its broadcast. China's involvement in world trade and politics is growing, no doubt. But the fact is that only about 23% of the Chinese population shares in this projection of successful living.

Still billions of Chinese live at or below a subsistence economic and culture level. When China needs to collect wealth for guns instead of butter, it does not directly affect the average citizen because the average citizen doest not have the wealth to share with the government. When the USSR demanded
its citizens support their war in Afghanistan and to continue the Cold War, the affect on the people of the USSR was more evenly spread out throughout the country. Reagan forced the soviets to spend their empire into oblivion.

The same approach American idealism used on the USSR will not cause the fall
of China but the fact that China is still coming out of their cultural isolationism will eventually bring democracy to that country. The people, as they come to share in the wealth of the world and as they share in the use of communication devices like in the Mid East, the people will demand more freedom and their intense hatred of America will lessen. Make no mistake about it, the USA is the leader of the free world; if only the liberal pundits would support the causes of liberty, we have another great opportunity to lead the world in a democratic direction.

There will be more Egypt's and there will be no excuses for Obama being caught flatfooted again like he has been in the past. As much talk as existed on the streets and internet in Egypt among the people, it is unexplainable that Obama's intelligence was unaware of the revolts in the Mid East. Obama and his administration has been so deaf to the voice of the common man that they have turned a deaf ear to the middle class of the whole world.

With the last election and the events in the Middle East, it appears Obama is changing his socialistic fantasies towards Reagan/Bush's American idealism. This is a good sign that he favors American pragmatism in his search for what really works.
