What if you called me a homosexual?

Odds are good that I would ask you in return whether you have some personal interest in the matter.

As a true anedocte, a video has been circulating in Facebook with a man posturing and claiming out aloud, with some enthusiasm, that he is meant "for women only".

I find myself wondering if he wants to be congratulated for finally deciding on the matter. Did it take a long time? Was it difficult?

I'm talking about referencing you as a homosexual in passing, such as:

"Talk about TV programs, (s)he probably likes X because (s)he's a homosexual."

I, RF member,

1. would take great offense at being referred to as a homosexual because . . . .
2. wouldn't like to be referred to as a homosexual at all because . . . .
3. would find it mildly disconcerting to be referred to as a homosexual because . . . .
4. would find it amusing to be referred to as a homosexual because . . . .
5. would regard it as stupid to be referred to as a homosexual because . . . .
6. wouldn't care one way or the other if I was referred to as a homosexual because . . . .

I wouldn't care at all. But I would be curious as to what evidence you had that led you to that conclusion.

In all honesty no one I have ever come across would actually use the term "homosexual" unironically in a sentence.
It reminds me of those dumb 50s ads warning of the supposed dangers of gay people.
So my response would probably be an automatic snarky
"Beware, the ever roaming eye of the HOMO- SEXUAL."
Followed by a lot of laughing. Like who the hell just causally tells someone they are a homosexual? Lmao!

I wouldn't care about being called homosexual. I'd take great offence at being accused of watching the kind of TV shows stereotypically associated with homosexuals.

Well, if I were a man, I might take that as
a perfect opportunity to quote a line from
Crocodile Dundee, and say-

"Sh*t for Brines". and let the floor rise up
to hit the back of your head.

Of course, if there were no audience to
appreciate it, I might just give you a disgusted
look, and turn away.

Why dont you do some real life experiments,
rather than doing a poll?
