Tea Party groups, Americans for Prosperity and the Republican Party of Wisconsin are allegedly plotting a massive scheme to disenfranchise voters in Wisconsin this November.

Yeah, because Democratic Underground ran an article about it.When I google your link, the first item is DEMOCRATICUNDERGROUND.COM.
Yeah, because Democratic Underground ran an article about it.
It's no secret, by the way, that the organizers of One Wisconsin Now have Democratic ties. What does that have to do with the evidence they present?
I saw claims, but I missed the evidence to back them up. Given the partisan source & a tone
suggesting the Tea Party is trying to torchify democracy, I'm a wee bit suspicious of their accuracy.
(Could this be the opening salvo for Obama's & the Democrat's PR offensive against Tea Partiers
(which was in a NYT article?) I'm sure both sides are doing their best to subvert the voting process.
Meh....so what else is new?
Pardon me for skepticism when I see inflammatory claims accompanied by a lack of evidence & a preponderance of partisanship. So, you let your hunches and emotions guide you, rather than evidence and reason?
You must have been not looking really hard.I missed the evidence
Are you kidding? We never even were what we used to be....always somewhat less.Libertarians ain't what they used to be.
Not hard enuf, apparently.....& I've seen nothing about it in the regular media. You must have been not looking really hard.
Even if it is biased, we have seen that the Tea Party is overrun with very bad behavior. Racism is a really big one. Throwing bricks through someone's window was also pretty common after the health care bill. And now they are attacking Republicans who don't support the Tea Party candidates. So I really don't think voter harassment and/or fraud is outside of their methods.
There's no need to demonize the entire group. It's been demonstrated that they have quite a few unsavory people in prominent positions. This thread is precisely about the actions of a few.Once again, you're trying to demonize the entire group by the actions of a few.
It seems you're willing to excuse anything they do because their anti-government agenda appeals to you.It seems you're just looking for things to hate about them, perhaps because their anti-gov't agenda threatens you.
That's blatantly dishonest. Anytime anybody recognizes incidents of overt racism in the Teabagger movement, you guys try to turn it around and pretend that it's "racist" to notice. It's pathetic. Moreover, since most of them are white folk, it seems that you're taking advantage of that by hanging the "racist"
tag on them. That looks pretty racist....only anti-white folk, but racist nevertheless.
It isn't necessarily demonizing them since we aren't talking about isolated incidents. We are talking about one bad apple after another, either the followers or the leaders. As for the Tea Parties racism, why cover it up? You don't have to look hard to find people throwing out the "n" word, waving racist signs, and attacks on Obama's race. I'm not calling the Tea Party racist because it is over overwhelmingly white, but because there has been one case after another of someone who has shown racist behavior.Once again, you're trying to demonize the entire group by the actions of a few. Whatever political affiliation you have, I'll bet there are
some malefactors whom you'd find disgraceful.

This reminds me so much of fundies trying to paint scientist types as God-haters & immoral because of their support for evolution....citing
some horrible act by some someone somewhere as proof of their larger evil.
Geeze, man....get a grip. It's childish to call someone a liar over a mere disagreement. You don't see meThat's blatantly dishonest..... It's pathetic.

On top of that, I see all those Pinky posts, so this thread is looking too full of petulance to participate for the moment.
(I thought you lefties were supposed to be all about tolerance & reason.)
