Expanding on a fiction doesn't change it into history.

O wouldn't you love to prove that the book of Jubilees was a book of fiction, which you cannot do.

The scriptures do not reveal exactly what Canaan had done to his grandfather Noah, as he lay naked in a drunken stupor in his tent, so we can only speculate as to what occurred. My own personal opinion is that Canaan, the ancestor of today’s Palestinians, sodomised his grandfather, but like I said, that is only my personal opinion.

Shem, is the younger brother of Ham the first born son of Noah, and Ham is the father of Canaan whom Noah cursed when he awoke from his drunken stupor and realised what his youngest descendant [Canaan] had done to him. After cursing Canaan, Shem was given the blessing of first born by Noah, which was removed from his elder brother, “Ham,” because of what his son Canaan had done to him. See Genesis 9: 24 to 27.

The scriptures tell us that Noah had begun his family when he had turned 500, If it had been after he turned 510, the bible would have stated that, if it was after Noah had turned 505, the bible would have said so, if it were after Noah turned 502, this would have been revealed in scripture, but no! The Bible tells us that it was when Noah turned 500 that he began his family.

Genesis 8: 4; On the seventeenth day of the seventh month of the six hundredth year of Noah, the boat came to rest on a mountain in the Ararat range, showing that Noah, who began his family with his firstborn son (HAM) in his 500 th year, was six hundred years old when the flood came to its finish. Then in Genesis 11: 10; we read; “These are the descendants of Shem. Two years after the flood, when Shem was 100 years old etc.” Here, the scriptures reveal to all, that Shem was born when Noah was 502.

And again, in Genesis 10: 21; we read that “Shem is the older brother of Japheth.” Knowing from the scriptures, that Japheth was the younger brother of Shem, and being assured by the scriptures that Shem was born when Noah was 502, and that Noah began his Family when he turned 500; we have deduced from all this, that Ham was the firstborn son of Noah.

The reason why God sent the descendants of Shem into the land of the first born son of Noah, Ham/Egypt, was because of what Canaan the youngest descent of Noah had done to him while he lay naked in his tent in a drunken stupor; Genesis 9: 24; When Noah sobered up and learned what his youngest son/descendant had done to him, he cursed Canaan and blessed his second son Shem, on who he then bestowed the blessing of first born.

But then the Lord had to remove the spirit of first born from the descendants of Ham and transfer it to the descendants of Shem, which was done by forcing the Shemites to interbreed with the Hamites for 215 years, before calling his son [Israel] out of Egypt after killing all the first born sons of the Hamites

The whole flood story is fiction. Its a myth borrowed from Sumer. Too many ancient sites have NO water damage which means China, Egypt, Anatolia, Ireland, Arabia et al never flooded.

The biblical flood story as handed down by witness's of the flood that devastated their known world, is a fact girly, an absolute fact.

Over 2,000 years before George Smith’s discovery of the deluge tablets in Iraq, there existed an account of the Chaldean [pre-Babylonian] flood myth. Berosus, an ancient Chaldean historian living in the time of Alexander the Great in the 4th century B.C.E, relayed to the Greeks the antiquity of his peoples deluge story in the following words: “After the death of Ardates, his son Xisuthrus reigned eighteen sari. In his time happened a great deluge; the history of which is thus described.

The deity Cronos appeared to him in a vision, and warned him that upon the fifteenth day of the month Daesius there would be a flood, by which mankind be destroyed. He therefore enjoined him to write a history of the beginning, procedure, and conclusion of all things, and to bury it in the city of the sun at Sippara; and to build a vessel, and take with him into it his friends and relations; and to convey on board everything necessary to sustain life, together with all the different animals, [In the area of his known world] both birds and quadrupeds, and trust himself fearlessly to the deep.

Having asked the Deity whither he was to sail, he was answered, “To the Gods;” upon which he offered up a prayer for the good of mankind. He then obeyed the divine admonition and built a vessel five stadia in length, and two in breadth. Into this he put everything which he had prepared, and last of all conveyed into it his wife, his children and his friends. After the flood had been upon the earth, and was in time abated, Xisuthrus sent out birds from the vessel; which finding no food, nor any place whereupon they might rest their feet, returned to him again. After an interval of some days, he sent them forth a second time; and they now returned with their feet tinged with mud. He made a trial a third time with these birds; but they returned to him no more: from whence he judged that the surface of the earth had appeared above the waters.

He therefore made an opening in the vessel, and upon looking out found that it was stranded upon the side of some mountains; upon which he immediately quitted it with his wife, his children, and the pilot. Xisuhrus then paid his adoration to the earth: and having constructed an altar, offered sacrifices to the Gods.”

It should be noted that the account of the deluge relayed in the tablets discovered by George Smith differ only very slightly from Berosus’ account, which differs only slightly from the story handed down by the Chaldean, Abraham, whose father ‘Terah’ was High Priest in the temple of the Chaldean city of Ur.

The flood of Noah didn’t come as a surprise. It had been preached on for four generations. Something strange happened when Enoch was 65, from which time “He walked with God.” Enoch was given a prophecy that as long as his firstborn son ‘Methuselah’ was alive, the judgement of the flood would be withheld, but as soon as he died, the flood would be sent forth.

Enoch named his firstborn to reflect this prophecy. The name Methuselah comes from two roots: muth, a root that means death, and from shalach, which means ‘To Bring’ or ‘To Send Forth.’ Thus, the name Methuselah signifies, ‘His Death Shall Bring.’ And, indeed, in the year that Methuselah died, the flood came.

Remembering that Abraham was the son of Terah the High priest of the temple in the Chaldean city of Ur, and he was, according to the erroneous Roman OT, 58 when Noah died, the question is now asked, could the Chaldean name ‘Arsates’ mean, ‘When he dies it will happen? And could the name ‘Xisuthrus’ have the same meaning as that of the name ‘Noah’, which is, “One who brings relief or comfort?”

The Chaldean month of Daesius, is the 2nd month, which corresponds with the biblical account that it was in the second month that the flood came. But there is a two-day discrepancy: the biblical account is the 17th day, [See Genesis 7: 11.] whereas the other is the 15th day.

These three flood accounts [By Three different witnesses] are so similar it becomes obvious that they originated from the one source. Another interesting similarity between the Chaldean deluge story and the one as handed down through the Hebrew, is that before the flood, people lived extraordinary long lives until the god/gods declared that man shall no longer live past a restricted age limit. This signifies that the floods of both cultures mark the same transition in the history of the world, that being, the birth of the modern world.

The more that I am forced to look at the flood accounts, the more I am convinced that some catastrophic event occurred 4,500 years ago, which caused worldwide devastating floods and tsunamis, of which the more accurate account of the flood that devastated the civilized world of that day, can be found in the Hebrew culture that came down from the Chaldean Abraham, and his family, whose language and racial religion have remained intact for over 4,000 years.

There was NO Ur of the Chaldeans at the time of Noah or Abraham. The flood story is a teaching myth.

George Smith died so young.

This is the 11th tablet of the Epic of Gilgamesh. The cuneiform text on this tablet is startlingly similar to the Biblical story of Noah and his ark in the Book of Genesis. When George Smith, an assistant in the British Museum first read this inscription, he jumped and rushed about the room in a great state of excitement, and to the astonishment of those present, began to undress himself.

The tablet describes how the god sent a flood to destroy the mankind. Ut-napishtim was warned in secret by the God Ea to build a boat to ensure the survival of humans and animals. Birds were released before the boat landed safely on mountain Nitsir northern Assyria. Versions of this story are known from at least 1000 years before.

A YEARS????

Would you be referring to an olive tree on top of a mountain that was submerged a few inches under water?

How long had the waters receded before the ark was stuck on the side of the mountain.

Genesis 7: 24; The waters of the flood started to recede after a hundred and fifty days, 215 days [Over 4 Months] before the ark was stuck on the side of the mountain. I think an olive seed on top of a mountain, could have spouted and produced a leaf or two in 4 months.

Olive trees will die fairly quickly when in an area with a lot of ground water, and I know this also from personal experience as I planted relatives to the olive trees in the wrong area and then had to hurry and transplant them in a drier area before they croaked. They survived-- barely.

Its a fairy tale. NO olive tree could survive a year under water.

The story says the highest mountains were covered by 22 feet of water.

So the literalists say the earth was flat until the flood and then the mountains popped up.

Muffled

Jesus in me
Original Sin: Jesus did not preach that. I'm not doing your homework for you, but I think that the concept of Original Sin came about by Irenaeus, in the 2nd Century. Christianity, most of it, has beliefs like Trinitarianism, and Original sin that I think are nutty.

I believe then that Irenaeus derived his concept from the writing of Paul. Rom 5:12 Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man

I believe this is not revelation but simply a derived concept from Genesis. Gen. 3:5 For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

The Trinity is also in the Bible and best laid out by Jesus in John 14.

Jews and Muslims don't believe in original sin. In fact, in Islam God forgives Adam and Eve.

Muslims deny that Jesus was actually killed on the cross. They say he only appeared to die. If so, then there is no resurrection from the dead for anyone ...

peace

I believe the Qu'ran is correct that Jesus appeared to die. However the explanation that Muslims come up for this does not square with the Bible.
John 19:30 When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
