Snow drop in northen of Sahara desert,It's rare to be happaned in that area "Bashar",Algeria.
Now that is really cool. You said rare....how many times in the last, say, 100 years has this happened??? Does this cause harm to the vegetation?

Sorry I was having trouble figuring out if the tall objects were chimneys above ruins or towers above low level buildings. I was leaning towards ruins but thanks for the clarification that it is the city
It's desert area,the rain is rare ,maybe once in three months !
I check out ,some source they said it's rarely happened in that area,it's could be more than 100 years.
It's happened in 2012 and this year (2016).
Fortunately,it's does not hurt the vegetation much,because it's about palms. (dattes fuirt),the palms fruit grow and ripening at summer.

That's seriously messed up. Snowing in the desert, but yet here, where we would normally be at bone-chilling temperatures and having several inches of snow, we're having a pleasant spring-like warmness with a spring-like damp coolness because we've had spring-like rains that would probably be close to a foot of snow by now if things were going normal.
And this is the time of year we get hammered really hard with snow here, but instead of roads being drifted shut from snow, I saw one that was flooded shut from rain. But the damn desert is where the snow is at! You can keep it!
