self-absorbed Socialist AOC can't be bothered to answer the phone .

Not very Zen when it comes to politics, it appears.

I don't know about anyone else, but I have never once attempted to call a politician.
I have tried to call a politician, both as a reporter and as a private citizen. with the exception of some local politicians, I never actually spoke to the politician in that phone call. Sometimes I'd get to talk to the individual politician, usually during another phone call, but mostly I'd get to talk to the chief of staff or someone else in their office who could take a message or get me an 'official' quote from the politican in question.

Nice way of representing the people and her constituency. This socialist considers herself much too important for them to bother her as she continues on being the media Spotlight darling.

The only person she's representing is herself, and her socialist agenda for which actual constituents need not apply.

This is the America under a socialist like AOC is.

I guess she needs more staff to answer the phones. The article gave an interesting picture of how congressional office phone systems and protocols work.

But this is something I never like to hear:

“I’m sorry, but this mailbox is full. Please try again later.”

I never could understand this. Either people aren't listening to the messages, or the phone companies are rather stingy when it comes to allowing enough memory to sufficiently accommodate customer voicemails.

The OP reminds me of "Polly wants a cracker!", namely the parroting of a popular right-wing mantra nowadays. They can't think on their own so they just regurgitate what they hear or read. And then they have to stereotype "socialism" because they're too lazy to actually look it up and see how diversified it really is in reality.

And if they don't like "socialism", then they should at least have the honesty not to collect Social Security or Medicare or enjoy the protection of the U.S. Armed Services, as these are all socialistic programs that we pay into and share. These are not private bank accounts even though SS is adjusted on lifetime incomes.

I wonder, does Trump answer the phone

I've never tried to call a politician. My state representative however lives in my hometown, so I've talked with him on several occasions.

It's baffling to me that the ""zen"" dude manages to defend the monstrous and then gets riled up over not being able to call AOC lmao

You mean Buddha didn't believe the surest path to nirvana lies in cultivating a bizarre obsession with a junior congresswoman who has little to no impact on your life yet provokes you to frequent displays of impotent rage?

It's not me it's her constituency that's pissed about it. She's the only ones whose office doesn't answer the phone.

Of course that's the new way of doing things with the Socialist Democrats isn't it?

Don't talk to me, or any representative for me, talk to my web page.

Thanks for your assurance that this doesn't bug you at all. If it's her constituency that's pissed then I'm sure they'll vote her out and this thread is a waste of time.:rolleyes:

Well seeing this was worth your time in replying I'm quite sure that once she's voted out I won't need to make these threads anymore, which in essence wasted your time of which you puzzled me why you replied in the first place. =O}

So what are you suggesting, the new way of getting in contact with your representatives is now by tweetie bird?

;O}

I am suggesting nothing that you didnt suggest in the OP
You started the thread, are you suggesting busy people dont have aids to help them with their work load?

Not my tweety bird, not even american but worldwide it is difficult to get directly in touch with a government member

You wrote the op as though it was something wrong with socialists, some hatred there i think. When in fact is something wrong with the whole mishmash

What's going on is she purposely has nobody to man the phones. Everyone is pretty much directed to a webpage via automation.

It's a strong indicator she wants her constituency to stay away from her as she goes on and on with their own personal quest for fame and fortune as a media darling and not as a representative of her constituency proper.

She's too busy looking for photo ops and fake crying sessions to press on with her socialist agenda rather than doing actual work for the benefit of her constituency and people know it.

That's the way things are going

How do you know the "crying sessions" are fake?

If people know it then she wont be voted in next time. Or if she is, that is an indication that her voters are happy with her candidacy

Edit : at least she isn't tweeting inane abuse to those who disagree with her
