Salvation

Remember the Law that was inaugurated before Jesus came to the earth. He, although being the son of God and having come from heaven, was under the Law. He never sinned. He died, and as he was dying, he prayed to his father in heaven and told the criminal next to him that he would be with him in Paradise. That's in Luke chapter 23. "We are punished justly, for we are receiving what our actions deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom! And Jesus said to him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
Now the question is, have you ever wondered why Jesus could promise the man dying next to him that he would be in Paradise with him? Also keep in mind that the temple with its sacrifices of bulls and other animals was out of commission once the Romans took over by force.

for those who believe......

what if your salvation depends as much on the people you have offended?

it's a bit of a paradox
so what?......if the Carpenter forgives you

and He then sends you seeking your brother
to make amends

is that not His instruction?

I don't believe as you do

yeah.....His ministry has the appearance of a 'mission'
and He knew it would end badly

but His death saved no one
His life and teachings ....did
His death AND resurrection saves those with faith. Now, I may ask -- why do you feel his life and teachings saved some?

his life and teachings saved
He did two things during His ministry
He did miracles
He told parables

the miracles were done for those at hand
some needed help
some needed proving

a miracle is as temporary as the flesh that received it

a change of mind could last....forever

and I do not believe His death saved anyone

His parables are the salvation

He would be seeking a reflection of Himself
and if you do not reflect His teachings
how would you be?.....one of His

true -- but when God reaches a mind, that can be considered a miracle. On the other hand, Beethoven's symphonies are remembered, played and recorded. In the same line of thought, the Bible was written and preserved for future generations.

His death didn't save anyone. His resurrection and enthronement in heaven does. But Beethoven is still in the grave.

must say nay.....again

He warned His disciples.....Let the dead bury the dead

and He wanted nothing to do with any crown
at the very mention of it.....He would get up and leave

of Himself He did say.....brother and fellow servant

The dead cannot, in real time, bury the dead. So obviously Jesus meant something other than dead persons not burying dead persons. As for the rest of your way of looking at it, I can only say nay to your applications.

I was just listening to some fabulous piece of music of a transcription of a Bach piece on the radio. Unfortunately cannot remember the name. I can listen to the Toccato and Fugue in Dminor at least half a day. :)

oh ....but they can

and do

some of us, and maybe quite a few more
have no intention or even curiosity about the next life
and for lack of intention will not survive the last breath

no hope......just dust still up on two feet

so as they live out their terminal lives ....they have occasion to bury
the loved ones already gone

dust to dust
ash to ash

What horror movies are you watching? I mean like Frankenstein (ok, he was "alive") and other Frankensteins burying the dead? Better you go back to Bach Concertos.

Hmmm, before a bowl is formed, clay needs to be there. In Adam's case, the clay was the soil of the earth. He became a living being. He was not a living being before the breath of life was put in his nostrils. If his body deteriorated before the breath of life was given him, it would come to be ashes, or perhaps fodder for the Grand Canyon.

you're deliberately joining life to flesh
as if life cannot exist without flesh

and my take of the creation of Man is greatly different
I stand alone in my perspective
