This is how I interpret the skills:

HP = Stubborness
Magic = Faith
Attack = Affectiveness of breaking down anothers viewpoint
Defense= Affectiveness of defending their own viewpoints
Agility = Affectiveness of Dodging Questions

Alas, folks are often selectively skeptical. I'm pretty sure my own value would be "X" where "X" could be any quantity between zero and infinity. There's probably some complex equation for determining that value. The table is more annoying than THAC0.
