No it doesn’t. Giving vaccines to people other countries doesn’t promote the general welfare within the U.S.

That is terribly incorrect. Your statement fails on multiple levels. Frist off, like it or not, we live in a global economy. For the US economy to come back fully the global economy has to come back fully. Second the longer Covid sticks around the more likely it is that a new variant that is can defeat our current vaccines will arise. Would you like to go through another lockdown for such an event? I wouldn't. And the cost to us if that happens will be far greater than $500 million dollars.

Important late breaking news! "A higher-than-expected number of young men have experienced heart inflammation after their second dose of the mRNA COVID-19 shots from Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna, according to data from two vaccine safety monitoring systems, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said on Thursday."
And, to top it all off, the sky is falling!

Meanwhile ...

There were 79 cases of myocarditis/pericarditis reported in teens ages 16 or 17 years after a second dose of vaccine, while the expected number was two to 19 cases, according to Dr. Shimabukuro. There were 196 cases in young adults ages 18-24 years, while eight to 83 were expected. The case rates per million doses for those age groups were 35 and 21, respectively. [ source ]

Yes, it's cause for alarm and mandates investigation. It is not a rational or responsible reason to withhold the vaccine from the U.S. or international population.

Shut down all cross-border travel, all over the world, and you might be right. Otherwise...sorry, nope!
Exactly. and guess what that will do the the global economies. One of the biggest hits was to travel and tourism, and now these industries are getting back to work. Gotta have a vaccinated planet to make it work long term.
