First things first.....
Get off'n me lawn, ya dang kids!

Now, what have you noticed as you age?
If you aren't that old, what do you expect as you age?

I'm 62 now.
On get'n older.....
- I've noticed that the world becomes more complex.
- I'm conscious of the importance of organizing my affairs so that my survivors won't be overwhelmed by complications, difficulties, & massive amounts of stuff.
- Staying fit is harder than it used to be.
- There's so much interesting stuff to do. I can barely recall what it was once like to feel boredom.

I'm 44. Everything is still going pretty good, but I'm tired more often. I am pretty aggressive with my fitness, but stuff hurts more now. After a hard workout, I feel it more than I used to.

And what's with the pee? At least once a night I'm up, and what's worse is, the damn thing seems to dribble forever at the end. Used to shut off like a faucet.

Like what? I am always looking to add to my "Cool stuff to do" collection.
Where to start.....where to start.....?
Things which interest me, but would have to happen in another lifetime.....
- Applying finite element analysis methods to economics.
- AI design.
- Energy management systems design.
- Building custom (old school) motorcycles.
- Physics.
- Literature.
- Movie special effects.
- Futurism.
- Making elaborate cat scratching/climbing posts from tree branches.

And diminishing range.
One must get closer to things one wants to whiz on outside.

Wow, and here I thought you had simply discovered free internet porn.

I'm not that old right now. 39. But I can already tell some issues I will have to deal with as I get older. The knee thing above is one. When I was younger I was in a car accident that landed me in a neck brace for about 3 weeks. I still have issues with my neck and right shoulder area seeming to lock up from time to time. I can't see that getting any better.

On the plus side though, I don't see myself turning into some stick in the mud. My father has definitely entered "grumpy old man" phase and my mother is left wondering what happened to him. :p He's 67 and she turned 65 yesterday. He can be quite the picky curmudgeon (especially when it comes to music and politics), while my mom is still quite a liberal hippie of sorts who listens to practically anything musically. :p Needless to say, I think, that I aim for my mother's attitude as I age.

At nearly 40 (finally an adult), with your temprement & your knees,
I hereby declare you to be an honorary geezer!

Btw, did you notice how circumspect & nice I was to avoid "sagging" issues?

I didn't think it possible that anyone could be less mature than Revoltingest, but you just did, you immature whippersnapper!
Whippersnapper? Dad? :D
What's "Alzheimers", and whom am I responding to? Where am I? I'm so confused. :(
My mom has been telling me that she is worried about her sister in that regard. My aunt has been repeating things a lot, forgetting she said them, or forgetting who told her something and repeating it back to the person who just told her.

That's the thing I actually find the most frightening. What I fear the most is losing my mental faculties. Just the idea of Alzheimer's or dementia scares the crap out of me. I can handle the idea of my body physically aging and having issues...but my mind? No.
