Ok to Be .......

blackout

Violet.
The athiest advertisement thread has me thinking about ALL us minorities.

How about just a MAJOR and all inclusive
"Ok to Be" campaign?

Little "Ok to BE" bracelets and bumperstickers and all.

Ok to Be Athiest

Ok to Be Pagan

Ok to Be LHP

etc...

Then...

Ok to Be Gay

Ok to Be Bi

Ok to Be Poly

maybe...

Ok to Be Undecided

Ok to Be Inclusive

Ok to Be Disinterested

then of course people can customize...

Ok to Be Purple

Ok to Be Sexy

Ok to Be Witchy

"Ok to Be Snarky" can be sold with "Ok to Be Athiest" as a set.:p

Ok to Be MySelf

Ok to Be Me

Ok to Be.

Catchy & Marketable.

What do you think?

I think the basic "agreement" that everyone wearing "OK to Be" gear must "uphold",
is the idea that no-one should infringe on another's right 'to be'.

Someone who invades an'other's personal space,
for example, is not respecting the other person's 'right to be'.
So "OK to be invasive" would not be welcomed in the "OK to be" "line".
Ok to be bigoted... is in direct conflict.
OK to be murderous, obviously directly violates the spirit of the thing.
(as murder certainly is not in keeping with 'letting someone be')

Well that's why you can custom make your own.

If people just let other people be,
the world would be a much better place.
Hmm they won't let me frubal you again yet!! However, I agree with allowing people to be. I do have one condition though, we cannot harm others being what we want to be. Otherwise, I think accepting other people just like they are is the only way to go, cause we are all different anyway!!

edit: Ah I see you already beat me to the cavaet UV!

It's Ok to be a fundamentalist Christian that believes in right and wrong.

Well if you notice...
I purposely left out "a".

OK to be (fill in the blank)

not

OK to be A (blank)

that also, would be a whole different line.
(and definately the LEAST catchy of the three)

'OK to be a'

it just doesn't work.

It is ok to be an atheist that believes in right and wrong as well. Or a bhuddist or muslim or hindu as well, for that matter. Fact is, it is ok to be of any religion or faith and believe in right and wrong.

I would like a whole daisy chain:

Ok to be whatever you want to be and let everyone else be what they want to be as long as they are not stopping others beeing whatever they want to be.

How is that for a badge? or a bag perhaps? Or a logo T-shirt?

:)

I disagree now, just because I can! And it is ok! YAY! Wait... did I just agree :p?

This is why advertising agencies exist. :p

if people can't grasp it simply
it's useless.

Thus the word 'catchy'.
