it's good to see you are doing well...
:)

how it is traveling with a cat?

Oh yea... he's loving it.

Lots of new cats to meet.... new outside-y things to smell.

Really a good ice breaker at the rest areas and camp sites.

Hey Sage,

Probably hanging around Seattle, looking like someone didn't tell him the 60's is now a half century ago. Ya gotta read some of his stuff. Doesn't matter which novel you read first.

A brief pause in Portland and then up up into the Cascades/Skagit County:

This is too funny to not share,
Here is a little graffiti from the SW side of Portland:

Upon closer examination:

Now on up into the Cascades:

The Skagit River, which we had to cross to get into town:

And a little past that their is one of three dams on the Skagit.
We went up the main highway until we saw a 'closed for the winter' sign:

So we had a battery cable that went bad one day and we were able to get it patched until we could get it into a shop.

We took it into these fellas who said,"The deal has this cable for $325, but I'll tell ya' what.... we'll make you one and install it for $50!"

Now I have 'hand crafted' cables:

The shop dog, Jake:

The local winery had a batch of champagne that didn't turn out right, so they distilled it and got this amazing little 100 proof drink:

We went met up with some friends down the highway for a hockey game, in which the home team got their butts kicked:

Doing a little work for the homeowners while on our sit:

We met a buddy we made from the bar the other night,
He took us on tour and got to meet a few of his friends from the War, which is a longer story.
He wanted to drop some wood off before we went though, so we road over to his place and 'we' unloaded it for him:

The next day we drove out to the coast and went OVER this thing eventually:

We stopped for another view and found the range:

(Those are plates with bullet holes in them)

And down down down we go:

Looking up from the bottom, that is what we drop up most of the way:

Now we're heading 2 hours south and to a more oceanic climate.

A quicky from The Painted Desert, but am now in Taos area until March.

Had a glorious time in Washington for January, had a good meet up with folks for 10 days in California, and now we sitting here until March 6th.

Funny to be facing east again.

BTW... last week I got accepted into a Human Serivces certificate programme in New Brunswick, so I'm going back to Canada in the summer sometime for the Sept semester.

Glad everything is going well for you :)

It's neat to think that water made the landscape in that picture over many years too :D

Welll..... it's been a month here house sitting in northern New Mexico... it'll be sad to leave for sure.
This is the closest place I've felt to 'home' since my Wife and I moved to British Columbia.

If we don't get to stay in this time we'll be coming back here for sure.

Ideally dual status is what I want for us so we can live where we want, when we want....

The time it takes for that is going to be a few years... and travel here again isn't out of the question :)

But, permit pending, I'll be in New Brunswick for a year in school starting Sept. and it's highly unlikely the permit for that won't go through as the funding and acceptance is already in place.

My point posting is that I'm going to be on the road again until March 19th, as of Wednesday morning.

Going south through Roswell, and over to friends in west TX and then onto our sit in east TX.

Be well folks.

Will be out for a while folks.

Heading back to PA and not sure when I'll get on again, but it should be long.

A week on the road, and then a week more getting set up at a place.

See you in a while folks.

Best wishes on your trip! Be safe and at ease.

Thanks my Friend. Settled in PA for a while, then heading south to a wedding.

Will come back to PA and live/work until my Wife, A. Gets a job in New Brunswick or B. July comes.

School starts in Sept and I want to be settled and what not.

Went from Texas, to AR, TN, KY, WV, MD to PA and spent a few days with my Grama and am now over here living with my Sister in Law and her family for a while.

Good times.

Thanks for caring about me dude.
