I think this world needs more self-deprecating remarks. If you are like me, at all, it helps to keep one's hat size down.

My *philosophy* runs as follows:

Dish out only what thee can handle thyself. Which roughly translated means don't be a miserable sod to others even if you're one yourself and only laugh at others if you can can laugh at your own foibles. Haven't always followed this insightful path and needs modifying and improving somewhat having read it back...

One's hat size however is beyond one's control!
