Then why participate in a debate thread?

Human body has many holes. One is there the excrements coming out.

The Bible says that people will lose the mind:

People can debate without having a pissing contest. Sadly that's all some want.

So? The anus has lots of nerve endings and people derive sexual gratification and pleasure from anal penetration.
And if you think that's something you should look into dolphins. They'll screw each other's blowhole.

No, it's what happens when someone mentions nonfiction and someone else mentions fiction to discredit the nonfiction, and without any actual points or reasons offered. That's not a pissing contest, it's rejecting a bad point.
It's like when Riley Freeman ridiculed his brother, Huey, for reading, snidely asking Huey if he believes everything he reads in a book.

    Its nonfiction because?

    Someone said so?

He made a valid point. If you truly believe that the bible should be followed to the letter then you should be out hunting and killing witches.

I was talking figuratively about words.

Please define the meaning of the word "figuratively". It is a lie, but acceptable one.

I've seen many people dismiss what the Bible says too, like how you're not allowed to wear mixed textiles or eat seafood or keep debts longer than 7 years. At least that's what you would think the Bible is telling you to do if you took very superficial surface readings.

    YES

God corrected the Bible...quite a few times in the past x millenia
Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Bahai, Sai Baba, etc.etc.

Saints, Sages, Enlightened Beings tell a much different story then the Bible

The point is ... you do not want to see this
Still, you expect us to see your Bible

    Strange, don't you think?

Most compelling Bible evidence that "gay is okay" AND should not be judged:
    1) First Commandment
    2) Thou shall not judge

    Yes.

If someone were to use only the parts of the bible that tickle his or her own prejudices, why not skip the bible part and go straight to the prejudices? Saves time and lowers the risk of hypocrisy.

If that's wrong, why isn't that person out there killing witches, something the bible specifically orders?

Well, they could be all wrong but still have pieces of the puzzle too, and perhaps is why so many can pick and choose as to what they believe - and which might conform to their prejudices, biases, or education/indoctrination or as to their 'intuition'. The one being right seems to be the least plausible - but so often clung to.

And which is why so many will prefer a religious explanation over any scientific one or simple moral reasoning as to sexuality and related issues.

The Bible was written mostly by heterosexual men who naturally see homosexuality as a "sin". Those religious men then claimed that God wrote the Bible.
