"Dear children! Today, on the day of the Patron of your Parish, I call you to imitate the lives of the Saints. May they be, for you, an example and encouragement to a life of holiness. May prayer for you be like the air you breathe in and not a burden. Little children, God will reveal His love to you and you will experience the joy that you are my beloved. God will bless you and give you an abundance of grace. Thank you for having responded to my call." 07/2007

"If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we (I) seek after these things".
Joseph Smith, 13th Article of Faith
    The Articles of Faith

I've been on an Evangelical phase, now I'm onto a Catholic exploration, but that's about as widespread as I'll venture out, as far as religion goes.

Nothing at the moment, just posted it here in case someone wanted to challenge these visionaries as to their authenticity...

Looks like, from Scott's post, that these Medjugorje pilgrimages are not forbidden by the Vatican and niether have they proven the visionaries to be false or discredited them in any way, but would rather accomodate the followers of these visionaries, the best they can..

I do not for one moment believe in these "revelations" especially from the so-called "Mother Mary."

Satan's powers are hard at work trying to confuse people and leade people astray. He will tell you what you want to hear, and tell you thousands of truths, just so that he can throw a lie in there and make you stumble.

And that would let you discount anything you don't like as the work of Satan.

It is good to be on guard.... all revelations after the apostles died should be met with serious scrutiny and compared to the historical teachings of Christianity.... the Holy Spirit can be seen most clearly in abiding unity.... in teachings that endure and unite Christians.... not one moment in time revelations that only cater to one group of "special" people.

    Stay on guard brother,
    S

    Ok, then...
that would let you discount anything you don't like and some things that are appealing as the work of Satan.

;) Yeah, true, but it's a major faith biulder for many, including myself lately, just read those links...no need to spend money, all the messages from Mary (the mother of Jesus) are clearly written out and not for sale.

God's word and his gospel should never be sold/for sale.

I hate it when people interprete scripture and then sell their interpretations for money, or have a "revelation" from God and then try to make a buck off it..

Jesus never charged a penny for his wisdom and niether should any of us..

Actually there are three visionaries in California, similar to these 6 visionaries in Bosnia, who also receive messages from Mary...

    I'll post a link...

    These are true visionaries..

I've had that confirmed to me, no doubt about it.

I had an undeniable witness given to me that these are true visionaries...on several occasions...

I'll post some of Mary's messages, which do not in any way contradict Christ and his teachings, but call everyone to repentance and prayer. Very simple straight forward messages.

I'lll post a few of the ones that stuck out and helped build my faith and caused me to renew my promises to the Lord to stay worthy...

    Alma 32: 28
Now, we will compare the word unto a seed. Now, if ye give place, that a seed may be planted in your heart, behold, if it be a true seed, or a good seed, if ye do not cast it out by your unbelief, that ye will resist the Spirit of the Lord, behold, it will begin to swell within your breasts; and when you feel these swelling motions, ye will begin to say within yourselves—It must needs be that this is a good seed, or that the word is good, for it beginneth to enlarge my soul; yea, it beginneth to enlighteneth my understanding, yea, it beginneth to be delicious to me.

Or possibly you are bias to your own religion, I've fallen into that same trap when I was younger, but there is much much good in ALL religions..

ALL Christian religions make up the "BODY OF CHRIST"....and are important to the Lord, and he works through them, for the good of all men and the salvation of many...

God meets us half way, rather than all or nothing.

In other words, if a person does not want to accept the fullness of the gospel right now, he meets them half way, with the various Christian organizations around the world.

There is a need for ALL Christian organizations, with Christ as the head of them all...

There is much good to be found in all other Christian organizations...

Lot's of good out there which we as LDS overlook...

I remember once a lady approached me in the parking lot and asked if I was okay, I was extremely ill and could not work and was burning up and stressed out because I was missing a lot of work, she dropped everything and said can i pray for you. I did not even know her.. We talked for a bit and then she prayed for me right there in the parking lot. When I got home, to my amazement, the fever I had had, for three or more days, left, it was dangerously high and I still suffer a few things from that little bout with pneumonia, but the fever left that day, and I had the impression I should call her and thank her, or at least thank God, and I didn't, and the next day the fever came back and I had to have an LDS neighbor come over and lay hands on me and give me a blessing and then I finally got better a few days later. I layed on the couch and couldn't move, even to get into bed, for two days, with plurasy of the lungs, very very painful and could not sit up because of the pain, so just layed there for two days until I got better..

This lady was not LDS but she had tapped into the power to heal and God made me aware of that, because I didn't believe I guess and he sent the fever back the next day and I got worse...

Other Christian religions and other Christian people have the right to heal, prophesy, have visions, etc...not just LDS...
