When did having religious freedom stop being enough?
Some individuals aren't capable of sating their need of more personal 'freedoms'. They lack the understanding of the possible nuances of freedom.

i.e., If I were afforded ultimate freedom and thereby protected from punishment, I would then be free to enact a level of destruction that would make Hitler blush... Rights = responsibilities.

But the New Testament directly, with no ambiguity condemns homosexuality.
It condemns sodomy for sure. I'm not certain about homosexuality, but I do not know Hebrew to confirm through the original text.
From my understanding most homosexuals enjoy the company of their spouses and loved ones through the alternative forms of physically expressing that affection. If what I've heard is accurate, most sodomy is enacted by hetero/cis couples.

Try your best not to use these English words separately.

The word is Arsen which means men. And Coitus which means "sex" technically. It also condemns Malakoi which means "soft men", and are put together with all kinds of other so called sinners including Methusoi, or drunkards, and pornoi which means adulterers or sex workers, etc.

but I do not know Hebrew to confirm through the original text.

New Testament. Greek. Not Hebrew.

Thats irrelevant Mark.

Even though it's 2022. Listen to people in the room, in Arlington TX, say "uh-huh" and "yep" and "amen."

Calling for death. So Christian.

God said "thou shalt no kill." But, because we have been fighting a perpetual war for peace against an enemy that never was involved in terrorism, we have cheapened human life by taking the lives of 1,000,000 Iraqis (against the commandment of God in Revelations who said that we would be severely punished for doing so).

Now even preachers turn against God.

This is why we must turn against those particular preachers.

The road to heaven is a narrow one. . . few can go. It is not a path that one person can lead another. An ignorant or vengeful preacher, who serves Satan, cannot get you to heaven. Scriptures mean different things to different people. Some people ignore certain scriptures and cherry-pick the bible. This means that in order to get to heaven, one must not be taught the bible, one must read the bible for oneself. Ignore preachers in the end times. . . they are deceptive, and will lead you to hell.

"Judge not lest ye be judged." "Do unto others." "Splinter in neighbor's eye, ignoring log in own." "Only God is the judge."

There are some fine people in Arlington, and it is a pity that they are now being led to the path to perdition.

HecJo (Joanne Heck) was a nurse during the Vietnam War, and she settled in Arlington where she worked as a nurse at the hospital. I repaired some of her hospital equipment and we spoke for a while on the phone. She had the reputation, during the Vietnam War of Florence Nightengale. . . a nurse of stellar proportion. Fine people like HecJo are going to lose their immortal souls to Satan worshipping preachers who seek to mislead people about God's wishes. We have no choice but to voice our opinions about killing Gays, and I am certain that God is on our side.

The preacher (who suggested killing Gays) is Jonathan Shelley of Arlington, Texas (part of the Dallas/Fort Worth parish). He is pastor of the Stedfast Baptist church in Fort Worth.

But what about the song..."climb every mouton, ford every stream?"

I would never amen that.

He probably had his church come with him to hear it and support him. So it's not a surprise to hear the amens and clapping. The people filming probably came with him as well. I doubt that very many Christians today think that homosexuality should be punished under the law; not to mention the death penalty.

The Christian kooks of the Ku Klux Klan, wear crosses and think that they are doing God's bidding when they kill Blacks, Jews, and criminals. They don't follow laws, they make their own, and think that God's laws take precedence.

You seem to think homosexuality is sodomy, or that sodomy is homosexual?

New Testament. Greek. Not Hebrew.
Whoops. The premise of my statement remains the same. I cannot debate the semantics of a language I am unfamiliar with, so you'll have to excuse me if I don't take your word for the meaning/translation of an ancient language.
Also, was it Linear B? Definitely wasn't Linear A, as we don't have a translation for it. :)

You need to understand something -- if Jesus didn't say something, then all you need is the Old Testament. The assumption is that Jesus accepts all of it ("not a tittle or a jot of the law shall pass away"), which of course he does not.

The trick is quite simple really -- don't admit you've ever heard of the NT when quoting the OT, and vice versa.
The NT is the OT revealed. So all you need to understand is Jesus died for your sins, was buried,
rose from the dead. Once you repent, receive the gift of eternal life through Him and are born again everything becomes clear.

Israel doesn't have issues with homosexuals like western society, so normally they have no reason to be homophobic.
So tell us, what "issues with homosexuals" gives society "reason to be homophobic"?
Feel free to speak frankly.

Many of the Old Testament laws applied strictly to the ancient nomadic tribes of Israel, they don't apply to modern day civilization/
I always enjoy the "God's infallible, immutable word only applied to the Ancient Near East" argument.

Franky?
Major issue about homosexuality for people who are not homosexual is nausea.

Not lie about what the preacher actually said.

At approximately 1:35 onward, after explaining it was once a crime in that state, but since overruled by federal law, he says and I quote "but god has already ruled that (long list) and homosexuality, are crimes worthy of capital punishment"

So he actually does make the assertion, did you miss it perhaps? Either way, no one has lied.

FWIW, if anyone doesn't want to take part in a Pride event, they don't have to, they're not mandatory. We had one here just before Covid, lovely sunny day and thousands turned up to enjoy the day, and show support. There was no trouble at all, and all age groups took part and enjoyed the festivities. I don't know how many were heterosexual, like myself just there to offer support and enjoy the day, but given this is a small town it must have been a lot. It's unfathomable what anyone could find to object to in people getting together to support a long persecuted minority, and enjoy a day celebrating inclusion.

If they not gay maybe stop having gay sex? the nausea should clear right up. ;):D

So I find religious bigotry produces nausea, what do I win? Can we ban it? Sauce for the gay goose is sauce for the religious bigots, to paraphrase a well known expression. :D:cool:

OK, let me correct myself, you asked "what "issues with homosexuals" gives society "reason to be homophobic"?"
Therefore:
Major issue about homosexuality for people who are homophobic is nausea.

Is that not justified reason to be homophobic?

No, I think that's just pathetic, since you ask.
