I’m currently living in China. In the past, I worked in computer programming, economic and social research, funding research, landscaping, youth programs, and moving; and on assembly lines. I retired ten years ago. After that I helped my wife with her English teaching at a university. Now she’s retired too. We've always worked together mentoring youth and children, and now young adults.

@Buddha Dharma I’m a member of the Baha’i Faith, and I’m trying to learn to follow Bahá’u’lláh. That doesn’t mean that I agree with any other Baha’is, about anything, or have any of the same interests that they do, other than trying to learn to follow Bahá’u’lláh.

Welcome to RF Jim. I have a sense you have become a little more comfortable here over the last few weeks. Who knows, maybe you’ll stick around. Guess I’m learning to follow Bahá’u’lláh too.:)

What makes you believe that Bahá’u’lláh is worth following? What is it that draws you to his teachings?
His claim to be Christ returned rings very hollow to me. Did Christ come to die twice? If he came the first time and there was no tomb, then how come when he died the second time there is a body and an elaborate burial site? Please help me understand....

Hello. While I find the teachings of the Baha'i faith very attractive and wise my reservations align with yours. I find that claim you mentioned very dubious. But the universal, inclusive teachings (against nationalism, pro-science, etc.) are just what this world needs! It represents a wonderful synthesis, I think, of the best of many of the world's religions.

    Oh, and hello Jim!

    Peace

I think that once we come to understand that "Christ" is a 'way of being' rather than some specific person, the second coming of Christ, or the many returns of Christ, is not so difficult to grasp. I am not Baha'i but even I can hope for a multiplication of this 'way of being'.

Welcome, besides both being Baha'is I am sure we will disagree on many things.

I taught English in China from 1998 to 2006 in Shenyang, Guangzhou, Kunming and Beijing. Nice experience.
