I agree ' thinking about hunger /poverty' won't make it go away.

Jesus was giving us a preview, or coming attraction of what he will do earth wide during his 1,000-year rule over Earth.
In order for earth's nations to hear or learn about this healing is a reason why Jesus put preaching and teaching first in his life, and he wants his followers to do the same thing - Luke 4:43; Matthew 24:14; 28:18-20; Acts 1:8.
Other scientific people also became Christians. Christian or not, No one can solve mankind's problems.
