I feel American culture is threatened more by Christian fundamentalists than Islamists!

This is such a simplistic view of what actually happened it's hard to explain.
Governor Pence spent years trying to get a constitutional amendment banning SSM. He caved in rather cravenly when the amendment became a political liability. RFRA was a bone the Republicans threw to their base, so that the base could continue to discriminate against gays. When that turned out to be "bad for business " they caved again.
Pences reelection campaign looked so dismal he took a chance on Trumps running mate, when Trump was a 95% chance of losing.

So what?

Sounds like high school drama to me.

It does not matter as far as the law is concerned.

The law got amended so that its illegal to discrimnate based on sexual orientation.

You act as if it is legal to discriminate, when it is not.

They tried some shady stuff, and got spanked for it.

No.

20+ years ago, maybe, it was rare even then.

You don't become a country with 8,200+ LGBT affirming Christian churches otherwise. How many Mosque let gay people in again?

Right, i have travelled in the Southerners states. So please don't tell me how gay friendly they are.

Mosques and churches were not in question, it was the Muslim people

Who makes up the congregations of said churches and mosque? The people do. Without the people there is no church or mosque.

Have you ever been to Houston? Its not gay at all..

Gay-Friendly Texas Cities

You really don't know what your talking about here.

One way to look at it, all just so he could promote/pass Conservative Christian ideology into law, Pence actually managed to successful **** off sports fans and nerds over the same issue, as well as far-left Socialist and far-right Capitalists. These are bipolar opposite groups, united in anger demanding Mr. Christian. Conservative. Republican in that order "FIX THIS BILL!" I even know a Marxist university humanities professor who used it as an example of how Capitalism can be used in a good way to pressure social change.
And then of course there was that pizza joint that got a ton of support money when they got just a very tiny sample of what those Conservative types expose the LBGT community on a daily basis. Not that I condone death threats, but, on the other hand, it was a backlash they brought upon themselves, a backfiring against the "pray the gay away" crowd who created a homophobic society in the first place. If they don't like getting unfriendly phone calls (or social media, don't remember what it was), they need to learn to accept people and get along. Ya know, that Jesus "love thy neighbor" thing, not this "you **** aren't allowed" crap. Makes me wish Jesus was real just so I could be an eternal schadenfreudist at their expense.

Just because the city of Indianapolis provides civil protections based on gender identity and expression doesn't mean the rest of the state does. Doesn't exclude either that there are many people surrounding you in that city who vote to have those protections discarded, and do vote to send in politicians who will legislate the Bible into law.

That is an asinine assertion. Do you have any data to back it up or is it just conjecture?

KKK, White Identity (a racist ideology that is theology based), and also the following:

"As defined by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a hate group is one that holds “beliefs or practices that attack or malign an entire class of people, typically for their immutable characteristics.” According to the SPLC, there are 939 hate groups currently operating in the United States, many of which are religiously driven. Some of these groups are led by people like James Wickstrom, a Christian minister and radio talk show host who often calls for the extermination of Jews in his sermons."
