Ever hear of the Mayflower Compact? And even before America's sovereignty people immigrated here from various places.

The compact specifically mentions they are subjects of King James....... in the first sentence...... Not immigrants as they are not subject of some tribal group. You are conflating migration with immigration. More so it even cites it is a colony of England.

At best migrants, at worst invaders. More likely something in between.

As most american families are immigrant (max 250 years) which was my point, america is built on immigration

Why not just say that outright?

Sure and it continues to this day with around 1 million legal immigrants accepted a year.

Its a term for the originial inhabitants of what is now called america

Sure which is what I said. So what?

No confusion. You just used the wrong words and not nearly enough words to communicate your views. Your problem.

They came here (or were booted out and sent here, depending on who you ask) seeking freedom from religious persecution. They formed a new territory, established laws and governance.
And there is no conflating migration with immigration, migrant with immigrant. They are synonyms and generally mean the same thing. They one main difference being immigration generally refers to movement from one country to a foreign country, but migration still applies in that situation.

She didn't use the wrong words, and you accuse her of that despite you thinking there is a significant difference between migrant and immigrant.

Wrong.

"I think this is an amazing post about a house (country) that is 98.4% immigrant."

Not descendants of immigrants. Immigrant.

There is a difference as one is about a county ie nation-state, and other isn't. You have the same issues as her. You do not know what words mean. Immigration vs emigration.

She clarified her view with the proper use of relevant words

I think this is an amazing post about a house (country) that is 98.4% immigrant.

Every country on earth is 100% immigrant.

...Even the native Americans came from asia. Even the aborigines came from Africa. Even the Africans came from... Somewhere else probably.

So it doesn't matter that I had an immigrant ancestor once.

Go look up what "socialist" means before using it again. You clearly have no idea what it means, and using it as a generic epithet at every opportunity is tiresome.

Yeah, but in America, the far left likes extreme Socialism and wide open borders.

...That's Why it makes sense.

And great great grandpa? And great great grandpa?

My great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, grandpa, Jaques Cortelyou arrived in America in the 1650's. He was the general surveyor of New Amsterdam (New York).

Go back far enuf, & we were still in the trees.

One time I was staring into the mirror, looking at my eyeballs, and I had an epiphany... I came to the sudden realization that these eyeballs are millions of years old, copied over and over and over... I am a million years old.

FUN FACT: The very first Proto-eyes came into existence around 600 million years ago.

Trump's doing ya a great favor by filling up your 'Sanctuary' cities and you could show us that wonderful utopian beauty of socialist policies in action. The opportunity of a lifetime!!

And now what happens??.

The Wicked Witch is fuming!

Pelosi fumes over White House plan to release immigrant detainees in sanctuary cities

Typical socialist. Do them a favor and they go bat**** nuts.
Certainly why not? California will be happy to take in the immigrants. Would boost the economy.

Liberals today have embraced socialism.
Not really. When unions become as important to them as LGBT, Muslims, and token black people, then I'll consider your point. When they riot over working conditions and better pay and more voice in the work place, I'll consider it.

The general feeling seems to be it won't be happy to be forced to take them in en mass. Even Pelosi isn't thrilled about the idea.
