Left or right....I can't seem to convince anyone to use a dictionary definition of "socialist".
It's either <something I like> or <something I hate>.
So by that standard, raw fish, infomercials, mint ice cream, & lutefisk are "socialist".

Only dirty socialists care about proper definitions.

However it does not diminish the fact that Democrats are in fact socialists and I'm going to keep on calling it as it is for as long as it continues to infiltrate the United States government. You're just going to have to get used to it.

I find, more or less, it's a person thing than a political thing to care or not care about dictionary definitions depending on situation and personal factors.

Whether it's "free markets," "communism," "socialism," medical definitions, legal definitions, I can't wait until we can install brain apps and everyone gets the OED uploaded to their brain.

Still, I prefer standard definitions to personal ones.
I saw the "mutilation" vs "modification" argument, & blame that on subjectivity & value laden usage.

The majority of Americans were born in America ergo not immigrants. Nor is immigrant a hereditary status. Native Americans didn't found America ergo the settlers were not immigrants. Get a dictionary before you babble about math.
