here's a thought...
can capitalism turn into a dictatorship...?

Sure, just as socialism can. Economic systems do not create dictatorships, dictators do.

The United States is a hybrid systems utilizing elements of both the capitalistic and socialistic economic systems. It is a good system that only needs a better balance between the two.

That's one of the problems that American conservatives don't seem to get. In reality, our left is more center, and our right, is WAY out right. In Europe, it's a little bit different. So yeah, we don't really have enough of the left to balance it out properly, because the right labels anything just left of center "socialist" and has convinced people that it's evil. In order for us to properly utilize socialist ideas, we first have to destroy the propaganda that socialism is evil.

Bail-outs, stimulus money & pork projects aren't handed out to the poor or middle class.
Yet government programs for the little people have catches which disqualify those in need, eg, underwater homeowners.
Capitalism is great, but crony capitalism is just socialism for the rich.
Isn't it interesting that Bush & Obama differ so little on this?
