I don't think I have ever known anyone that lies that much.

CNN is not a single person. Also, I don't watch it, I read it along with other assorted news sources.

    From the OP link.

Washington (CNN) Alternative facts. Lies. Distortions. Exaggerations. Misstatements. Half truths.

Call it what you want, but there's one indisputable fact: Donald Trump does a stunning amount of it.
According to a count maintained by The Washington Post's Fact Checker and updated Tuesday morning, Trump has now made 1,628 false or misleading claims in his 298 days in office. That's an average of 5.5 a day. Five and a half misleading or outright false statements for each day -- including weekends! -- that Trump has been president.
By the Fact-Checker's estimates, Trump -- if he keeps up his current pace -- will blow past 2,000 misstatements and/or untruths in his first year in office.
Stop. Go back and read that last sentence. Then read it again.
And there are people who are just fine with a president who lies. Maybe it's because they too lie a lot. Could it be they see him as validating their lies? If the President of the United States of America can lie every day how bad can lying be?

So, how about this lying of his? Take a look at a few of his comments as of early August.

Its not like politicians in general (regardles of their leanings) are known to be honest upstanding individuals of our communities. Most are lying conniving scheming dirt bags. So Trump fits in well!

That's a very very defensive way of conceding that Trump is a lying dirt bag.
I don't think Trump's lying is that new, however his complete neglect for what was true definitely is.

All politicians are. I thought this was a well know fact amongst U.S citizens. Apparently there are some naive ones yet!

All politician lie some yes, but not all of them tell an average of 5.5 lies a DAY. Trump has a very serious problem with telling the truth that goes far beyond your typical politician.

Not even Roy Moore, who dates little girls, can lie as easily as Trump

Everyone knows politicians lie but I guess you don't realize that as far as lying goes, Trump takes the cake. Unprecedented even compared to Nixon who is "not a crook".

This much has been obvious of Trump supporters, made me reassess the term conservative.

So why bother even answering? If all those things are of no interest to you, then you also have no interest in who leads your nation, who you vote for, or what might happen based on things that others do over which you have very little control.

You just "meh" go with the flow. Not a lot of meaning in that, in my view.

That's not my opinion. That is the opinion of the majority of the U.S. I did not chose the lesser of the 2 evils (Trump or Hillary) that most of the U.S. voted for, because they felt like they had no other choice. I voted for someone who I did not consider a lesser of the 2 evils.

So somebody who lies constantly -- you voted for that person because he said things that you believed? How bizarre!

LoL nope, actions speak louder than words. I look at a candidates actions and determine what I think they believe based on their past actions. Its not fool proof by any means, but it's better than believing the lies. At least imho. :D

So the russian propaganda worked on you? I notice you make broad assumptions but provide no examples.
Every conservative says exactly what you said.

On a serious note. Its not Russian propaganda to judge someone by their actions vs their words. Its just a pragmatic way to evaluate someone.

Anyone can lie about theirself. But what they can't lie about is their history. If a politician says he/she is not big government, yet consistently voted for government take over of multiple issues then I can clearly see that politician is a liar. Because his/her actions do not match their rhetoric.

But if that politician says they are not big government and I examine their past and see that their actions back up want they are saying, it give me more confidence in that politician. Their actions and words match up.

It takes a bit more homework for me (the voter) but I sleep better after casting my vote. Rarely do I have "voter regret". My voting history is colorful to begin with. Carter was President when I was born, but I was too young to remember him. Reagan was the first President I actually was old enough to know of. And I like Reagan. I didn't vote for Bush Sr, he was a nightmare. Bill Clinton I voted for and approved of most of his policies. I did not vote for Bush Jr he turned out to be far more of a nightmare than Sr. I did not vote for Obama his 1st term was not so great, his 2nd term he improved, but then screwed the pooch towards the end of it. And finally I did not vote for Trump as I knew his presidency would be.... turmoiltoulous to say the least. The only thing I approve of Trump is how he gave a swift kick in the balls to the Democratic party, who the self admittedly, fell asleep during Obama's tenure. But just like with Bush's, And Obama, and Trump, they were/are my president so I give all of an a fair chance. I'll be disappointed yet again, but that's just the life of a Libertarian!

Lying is an act of deception. Trump's lying is very much an action with the intent of misleading the people of the USA.
