It doesn't matter if you believe in God, don't believe in God, are agnostic or Chose another path. Obviously everybody's happy with the path they have chosen and if they become unhappy they simply switch roads or get back on the road if it was something else that caused their unhappiness. This is why it's impossible to change ones stance on life.

The worlds problems run so much deeper than religions or lack of.

No, I have changed from Christian to atheist to naturalistic deism or pantheism. And I have changed for believing in everything can be explained rationality to cognitive, moral and cultural relativism.

No, I am not happy. I am most of the time content and cope. I am happy in short periods and sometimes unhappy. I then try to deal with being unhappy using different coping strategies and settle with me content most of the time.

I was saying you're happy with your path regarding religion or non-religion etc. not about your general happiness in life.

Atheism is not a chosen path. I am very unhappy with it. I choose polytheism but can't get myself to believe any of it. One God seems like an awful miserable job.

The path of virtues I can choose, so I am happy with that. Because there is an end to life I am most miserable about that.

    Respectful friendly question:

I notice a change in your religious affiliation? If you don't mind the question, which religion is "The Wrong One"?

It is not a religion per se, since it is my own one. But because I like to debate in some cases from the point of view of being wrong to figure out how people answer when I do this. You are right and I am wrong. That is now settled. What is next?

It makes no sense to me that there would be more than one God so I could never believe in polytheism.
Why do you think one God is a miserable job?

If you are unhappy with atheism do you think there is anything you can do about that? I do not like seeing people unhappy.

There is an end to this life, thank God, and I definitely believe there is an afterlife. What we will need in the afterlife are the virtues we acquire in this life, so even if you do not believe in God or an afterlife I think you will fare well since you have chosen the path of virtues.

My life is full of sorrow because I am in a life situation I cannot change, but I hang onto this promise because I believe in Baha'u'llah.

“O My servants! Sorrow not if, in these days and on this earthly plane, things contrary to your wishes have been ordained and manifested by God, for days of blissful joy, of heavenly delight, are assuredly in store for you. Worlds, holy and spiritually glorious, will be unveiled to your eyes. You are destined by Him, in this world and hereafter, to partake of their benefits, to share in their joys, and to obtain a portion of their sustaining grace. To each and every one of them you will, no doubt, attain.”
Gleanings From the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh, p. 329

It is being married that sometimes makes it impossible to change one's stance on life. ;)

Harm first. Well, yes. My wife is a social worker and nursing assistant in combination and it is hammered into them to reduce harm and do no harm. As for good, if they are lucky, they can do good. But that is a bonus. Start with harm!

As for my way into ethics, I am myself a special needs person and if not married, I would live in an assisted living situation.

As for pagan ,then yes in practice as my God is the living universe.

    Regards and love
    Mikkel

God, being the only God, would be all alone and perhaps totally unrelatable because of it. God has no peers and no equals. That is the misery of it.

Atheism is my belief conviction. I don't see any way out of it. I wish there was.

My mother is having health problems, and I have to take care of her. I'm not sure if she believes in God or not. I feel like one of my best friends is slipping away. Ceasing to exist is miserable. Atheism isn't wanted for sure!
