Democrats’ outrageous border cruelty

Well then I think it's time for a Pablo Escobar style drug dealer hunt to commence.
So another can take his place? You dont get rid of drug dealers, you dry up their sources of revenue and deal a blow to the entire black market. Hitting dealers has never and will never do much.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.

Of course it does, you cut the head off the snake, you might get a dumber head to replace it. Not to mention the power struggle that ensues to fill the vacuum.

Each and every time.

The Republicans are the party of business. Business likes illegal immigration. IIlegal immigrants work hard, do jobs American citizens won't, at wages Americans won't accept, in conditions American's won't accept. Only when the illegal immigrant question becomes an election issue do republicans take a serious stand against it.

Both parties say they will go after business employing illegals. Trump in 2016. Obama in 2012. Yet they only deported people.

Each and every time.
And each and every time nothing changes, the violence continues, and the motivation remains.

Maybe the cruelty is people trying to enter the country illegally. What do you suggest? Give everyone who comes here illegally a free house and free food and a car to drive around? These are people who broke the law by entering the country illegally. They should not expect a warm welcome and a stay at a fancy resort. And maybe free tickets to Disney?

Are you worried about overpopulation, or just incensed that someone's broken a law?
Is it never right to break a law?

Well duhhh!... If you went after employers you'd actually be effective. Then where would the economy be?
Best stick with the bombastic rhetoric and symbolic interventions. ;)

Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...

You're paying more per person per night to keep them in overcrowded cages. It would be cheaper to house them at Disney in a 5 star resort. Trump's Child Detention Camps Cost $775 Per Person Every Day

You are probably correct. The government is know for paying 100's of times what something cost.
$350 hammers and $500 wrenches from the 70's is evidence of that.

But that wouldn't be punative. It wouldn't spread fear among the refugees.

The inspectors interviewed one child wearing a bracelet with an American relative's name and address written on it. The relative would have gladly cared for the child. Had anyone bothered to contact the family member? You can guess the answer.
The toothbrush controversy? Some of the children were given toothbrushes once a week, but they had to throw them away after use -- they were "contraband."
These children are prisoners. The Japanese internees during WWII had more freedom and better living conditions.

One thing you left out... Those people, including their children are illegals.
If we are going to bend/overlook the law, we should do it for everyone or no one.

The law is an artificial, imperfect tool. It's different in different places and is constantly changing.
Don't give "law" more respect than it deserves. It's a moral duty to break the law, in many situations.

Tell that to all the prisoners in our over populated prisons. They probably would cheer for you.

History.... Native Americans to the first refugees/illegals "greet them, welcome them, help them, feed them, etc" worked out well for the American Indian didn't it.
I dont Mexico rising up and taking back the Western chunk of the US that was theirs.
