So your preferred approach would be to make life as dangerous, difficult, hopeless and unpleasant as possible for undesirables outside your own tribe? Do some humans, by accident of birth, deserve less of life than others? Do some have a moral right to exploit or persecute others?

Democrats are finally acknowledging the border crisis they claimed didn’t exist, yet many still want to deny aid to suffering migrants. It’s beyond cruel.
Nearly everyone now agrees border officials are overwhelmed and conditions at facilities used to hold and process migrants are deplorable. Reports describe children having to sleep on floors, without adequate food or necessary provisions.
Yet many Dems — who for months insisted the crisis “does not exist” (Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer) and is “fake” (House Speaker Nancy Pelosi) — are nonetheless now insisting that any emergency aid comes with tough conditions that risk a veto by President Trump.
Indeed, some resist any funding at all, simply because it would pass through Team Trump’s hands. “I will not fund another dime,” vows Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, arguing Trump can’t be trusted.

It's amazing how low Democrats will go in order to put up a firewall against the President. It appears as if they forget that when Obama was in office the Democrats wanted to fund a wall that would have cost many billions more than the one Trump proposes.
The offenses against detainees under Obama are long forgotten. Including his ordering illegals trying to cross to be pepper sprayed on different occasions.
Sedition is ugly. Democrats don't care about the kids. They care about the cause; never Trump.
Maybe the illegals should look at cleaning up their own backyard before they come over to somebody else's with their problems. Novel idea huh?
Which immigrant group to come here did that, exactly?
I agree and would love to see a multinational approach into helping them cure that problem.
Oh I don't know bringing over a couple gang members, things like that.....
So Trump created this mess with his half-assed policies, but it's somehow the Democrats' fault?

Yep, the dumbing-down of today's Republican Party.
Mexicans? Columbian? Russian? Irish? Italian? Sicilian? British? French? So, who exactly are you talking about?
Being coy about it doesn't diminish the facts.
The Republicans are the party of business. Business likes illegal immigration. IIlegal immigrants work hard, do jobs American citizens won't, at wages Americans won't accept, in conditions American's won't accept. Only when the illegal immigrant question becomes an election issue do republicans take a serious stand against it.
Im not being coy. Seriously, you act as if I can read your mind and just know. Huge amounts of immigrants, theoughout Americas history, came here either because it was intolerable over there wherever they came from, or one way or another forcibly shipped over here. And indeed, oft times their criminals were either of those forcibly shipped here or they came along for the ride and set up shop here.
The facts are, there are few gang members among the immigrants. The immigrants are fleeing gangs. And the gangs they're fleeing can trace their origins back to the US.
Well then I think it's time for a Pablo Escobar style drug dealer hunt to commence.
