It's a rather simplistic picture of conservatives, to be fair.
"You hate most of the people who live here."
I mean...really, though? When I was conservative, I certainly didn't.
"You hate the civil liberties afforded by the Constitution."
No, they don't. They have a different interpretation of the civil liberties afforded by the Constitution. Quite often I actually hear the same from conservatives, talking about liberals, that libs allegedly hate freedom of speech, or the 2nd Amendment.
These are all caricatures, that knock down the weakest strawman of what one's opponent thinks.
Why do that?
