    Hopefully equipped with heaters.

At least not separating children. I hope.

Anyways, the Democrats were bragging for years on how they can be accommodated and properly integrated.

Let's see them put the money where their mouth is.

Why? Would you rather vulnerable people be deported back to a potentially dangerous situation in their homelands? Or would you prefer that minors stay without shelter?

From an article on a less hysterically biased news site:

    Source.

What is sad is not the considerable effort to provide shelter to refugees and migrants; it is your persistence in defaming and misrepresenting Biden's orders simply because he is not the "Chosen One" of the GOP.

We can't even house our own citizens, you know. Why should they be treated better than homeless US citizens on the street?

The shelters are supposed to be temporary, and providing them to migrants is not mutually exclusive with helping homeless Americans. Whoever convinced you that the world's richest nation can't afford to do both has successfully managed to pit two vulnerable groups against each other as if their interests somehow conflicted with one another.

The reason for using some of these facilities is based on Covid. In order to keep people separated, they need more space.

    That's a real valid point.

It begs the question if we as a nation cannot even deal with our homeless issues, then how in the hell are we going to be able to accommodate thousands if not millions of people seeking a better life in another country? Your just trading one misery for another.

I still say we need to conquer Mexico and the entire Southern American Continent, call it the United States with new stars added to the flag, and then there will be plenty of space and accommodation. Go from there.

Can't say the problems would go away, but they won't have to migrate anymore and we can send in the authoritys to handle the gangs.

We can't handle our own homeless/displaced problem. That's just plain fact.

What I would prefer is that the conditions in the countries of origin would improve such that people would not attempt this. That is the best solution. I prefer that people don’t face exploitation. Especially when it is minors that are being exploited.

Biden, and his policies compound and add to the problems. So, yes, that is sad too. It isn’t a matter of politics. It is a sad truth that he is part of the problem. It is also sad that some people want to give him shade.

Yes, I think these things are sad.

Define "can't." Is it for lack of finances in the world's wealthiest country, or is it due to incompetent leadership and their lack of desire or drive to address the problem?

And the reason more space is needed is because of policy changes made by the Biden Administration.

That would be an ideal scenario, and one that would take years to happen if it were to ever become a reality. Since we don't live in an ideal world, the Biden administration has to address things as they currently are: there is an influx of migrants, and the choice is to either send them back or try to provide them with shelter and help them.

How do Biden and his policies add to the problem, especially when he has been in power for less than two months? You do realize such large-scale problems often require years of buildup before reaching such a breaking point, right?

Because that went remarkably well in Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq. The good old U.S. World Police, eh?

    Those weren't attempts to conquer.
BTW, I'm a fan of neither police actions nor conquering.

    Biden agrees with you:

The Biden Plan to Build Security and Prosperity in Partnership with the People of Central America | Joe Biden for President: Official Campaign Website

Mexican leader says Biden offers $4B for Central America - ABC News (go.com)

Biden ending deals with Central America restricting asylum - ABC News (go.com)

How? What policies should he implement to improve the conditions in CA? And in the meantime, what should his policy be regarding unaccompanied minors seeking refugee status at the border?

No, the US is actually considered the world’s wealthiest country. It also happens to have one of the biggest wealth gaps

Debate. The US finances aren't allocated fairly. Thousands of people are homeless and even more so cause of COVID. Many americans can't work full time cause they'd loose benefits. Other countries they don't let you in unless in sobe you know their language and culture, have money to stay, and other. America just opens it's doors to just about anyone. No other country I'm aware of dies that.

Money needs to go to American citizens first. What country will help a foreigner (american at that) before it helps it's own citizens.
