You have me at a disadvantage as I am currently moving away from the notion of enlightenment. I haven't decided what I am going to replace the concept with as of yet, but enlightenment, as it is generally conceived, in my opinion, does not really exist. I have begun to term enlightenment as the "final illusion"... but I don't mean that literally... I mean it more metaphorically.

I understand that Wellington is a gorgeous place. It would be nice to "come down there" and visit for a spell. There are few places on this small planet I really want to see before I croak and your country is one. As far as the trees go, B.C. has huge forested areas, but alas, man has made short work of them in the settled areas and the pine beetles have made short work of the unpopulated areas. Add to this the punitive lumber restrictions of the American softwood lobby and our forest sector is in pretty sad shape right now... with no end in sight due to the housing crunch in the US of A.Looks like Wellington with more snow, less trees and sea vessels. I lived in Vancouver for over 5 decades. When you live in paradise, it doesn't occur to one to want to live anywhere else.
(Then it bounded back several feet.) Normally, they come out of the bushes to feast on the goodies I have for them. Currently, they are getting nice raw potatoes (sliced thin) whereas in the late fall we had a bumper crop of apples to shower them with. During feeding time, I get between 3 and 8 deer milling about within 10 feet or so... so it is pretty awesome... and yes, I do realize how lucky I am.
